When I have kids imma tell them daddy was the only influencer in America chosen to re-release one of the best selling colors in the 2000 silhouette, with a billboard in the middle of DC like he was dropping an rap album lol. REFLECTING ON MY SNEAKER JOURNEY @newbalancelifestyle @newbalance My sneaker collecting journey started in 2020 during the midst of the pandemic. I was at home, furloughed from work and was looking up New Balance for the first time. I saw that one of my idols @ronniefieg was doing a collab with them and it really peaked my interest. I ordered a pair of grey 990v5s and was hooked ever since. The idea of MiUSA was something that I really liked because I knew the quality was going to be good. After that, I decided to make an IG account as a place to showcase my pickups. I called the account newbalanced_life and It started with taking simple pics of sneakers on my carpet. Then in 2023 my account got shut down with over 20k+ followers that I got organically from the ground up. I had no idea why it happened. After two months, I somehow got my account back and immediately changed my name to what it is now — kgdays. I felt like that name fit me better because I started to expand my horizons to other brands which I’m very glad that I did. And because of this account, I got inspired to start my own brand which is @daysgonebyco because people would always ask me about the clothing I was wearing in my posts so I thought, why not start something of my own. A goal is to collaborate with a brand one day to create my own sneaker and bring it to market. Now after 6 years, a hobby of mine turned into a passion. A passion that has enabled me to connect with so many amazing people from all different brands as well as other sneaker enthusiasts like myself. I never thought in a million years I would be doing anything like this but hey, here we are. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan in place for us all.
