We had a really fun time yesterday catching up with manager extraordinare, Joe D'Ambrosio, when he came over for a visit and to see Ted's room! We've both known Joe from the early 80s when he was working for Phil Ramone. Old friendships are the sweetest!

Joe D’Ambrosio is a 44-year veteran of the entertainment industry who heads his own talent management company, Joe D’Ambrosio Management, Inc. (JDMI), representing GRAMMY-winning producers Tony Visconti, Hugh Padgham, Kevin Killen, Jay Newland, Frank Filipetti, Phil Tan, and Lawrence Manchester, as well as renowned mixers Joe Zook and Jay Dufour, top arrangers Rob Mounsey and Larry Gold. Joe is also the managing partner of Audiosmith Digital Solutions, a renowned audio production company that has recorded 38 Broadway cast albums including Hadestown, Moulin Rouge, and Hello, Dolly! as well as the original scores to 46 motion pictures including Joker, Little Women, The Girl on The Train, and songs from The Greatest Showman. Joe began his professional career with the New York Yankees, rising from the position of batboy with the 1976 A.L. Champion and 1977 World Championship teams to Director of the Speakers Bureau.

Joe D’Ambrosio is a 43-year veteran of the entertainment industry and heads his own talent management company, Joe D’Ambrosio Management, Inc. (JDMI). For 22 years, JDMI has represented top talent, including Grammy-winning producers like Tony Visconti and Hugh Padgham, as well as renowned mixers and arrangers.

Additionally, Joe is the managing partner of Audiosmith Digital Solutions, which records studio and live performances and is based in the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Audiosmith has produced 38 Original Broadway Cast albums and original scores for numerous films, including the Oscar-winning *Joker*.

Previously, Joe managed Phil Ramone, directed operations at N2K Encoded Music, and worked with music legends like Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra. From 1987 to 1991, he was the Director of Promotions and Marketing for the China Club, known for hosting impromptu performances by stars like Bruce Springsteen and Prince. Joe began his career with the New York Yankees, rising from batboy to Director of the Speakers Bureau, managing appearances for baseball legends.

The end of my GRAMMYs era⚡️
After 4 years, my time working with the @recordingacademy New York team is coming to a close. In the grand scheme of life, 4 years may not seem all that long but so much has happened in those years, both professionally and personally. It’s starting to sink in how hard it is going to be to leave this all behind, but I feel lucky to have had something worth missing so much. I’ll always have my friends, colleagues, and memories in NY but now, it’s time for the next chapter… Nashville, I hope you’re ready!🤠

The first woman to ever be nominated for and win a JUNO Award for Recording Engineer of the Year, Kourkoutis is also a renowned producer, songwriter, composer, mixer, multi-instrumentalist, artist, mentor, and teacher. She will be honoured this September 29th at the event’s fifth annual ceremony celebrating music in Durham Region for her contributions in the community — both locally and nationwide.
With production, mixing, and songwriting credits across a broad roster of releases — including Leela Gilday’s JUNO-winning album, North Star Calling, Digging Roots’ Top 30-charting “SKODEN,” Cassie Dasilva’s viral hit “Unsolicited Contact,” SATE’s JUNO- and Polaris Prize-nominated release, The Fool, and more — she also co-wrote and produced the theme song and end-title song for Universal Kids’ Remy and Boo as well as Disney’s Dino Ranch.
