I’ve quite literally been dreaming about this day since the moment May and Spence kissed for the first time. Never one to play it cool, I believe the first thing I said was “CAN I PLEASE OFFICIATE YOUR WEDDING?!” This weekend was truly magical; filled with so much joy and love and great style and hair privilege. Impossible to put into words how much I love these beautiful brides and their friends and families. Ilysm and Merry Christmas.

500 Capp Street is hosting “Another Lamp Show”, a fundraiser featuring 100+ Artists in support of the David Ireland House on October 30th, 2026. Co-organized with artist and union electrician Rico Duenas, artists have been asked to redefine the lamp following in the footsteps of Ireland himself. These one-of-a-kind functioning lamps will be for sale in person at 500 Capp Street and online during the fundraiser. Ireland's unique approach to lamps and lighting at 500 Capp Street is a central artistic expression of utility vital to our exhibition space. “Another Lamp Show” combines all the aspects that 500 Capp Street values: exploration of art in everyday life, experimentation, and artist collaboration. Join us as we gather in support of the future of 500 Capp Street. Link to tickets in the bio. A resonant thank you to all who participated in and supported Verdant Phenomena thus far.  Our preview evening and dinner for 50 guests in mid August was a night to remember.  Verdant Phenomena resulted in over 60 original hand-crafted pieces of furniture, objects, sculpture, and artworks. Each of the artists and designers, all located either in the Bay Area or Los Angeles, responded to a sense of place via form, materiality, and concept within the boundaries and mediums of their crafts.   The setting is within our studio garden––laden with coneflowers, sunflowers, hellebores, pea tendrils, grasses, herbs, cedars, as well as fruit trees such as peaches, cherries, and plums. An additional seven independent design brands such as Gantri, Heller, Emeco, RAD Furniture, Sun-set Furniture, and ORCA provide lighting, seating, and side tables. The cohort of participating artists and designers include past, aspiring, and present sources and collaborators from our past and upcoming interior design projects.  Our projects span from hospitality, residential, commercial and more. @the_rafi_ajl @_gigiallen @architectjohnu @chimera_design_ @jessfeury @taylordonsker @hanneke.lourens @joeferriso @kate.hands.co @hbas_co @creativeware @stephenkenn @amelia.czaczyk @nomadory_ @sun_set.us @orcaliving @hellerfurniture @gantri @sgiesenhagen @kamperett @faktura.proj @emecochairs @haworthinc @mgwest_ @spgray @chelseaflintoft @paige_allen @serg88mondragon @anitarunner1 @trevgudim @marsnider @mbauch @bigmess.co @emmolowines @maisondpwine @valleybarandbottle Photos by @danicataylor_photo

On behalf of The Bureau, we are pleased to invite you to the opening night of “Verdant Phenomena,” a group exhibition set within the intimate, lushly verdant, and garden of Sarah Giesenhagen, interior designer and founder of The Bureau. Please RSVP via link in bio and for more information. Giesenhagen invited over 13 artists and designers from the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area to produce new works in response to a unique setting for gathering and displaying. The garden––laden with coneflowers, sunflowers, hellebores, pea tendrils, grasses, herbs, redwoods, as well as fruit trees such as peaches, cherries, and plums. Verdant Phenomena is a natural expression of Geisenhagen’s creative practice—a means of crafting an experience, a moment for public/intimate gathering, and an exploration of the artistic outcomes that arises from mixing prompts of natural landscape, materials, and collective expression.
