I am officially retired from teaching since my brain injury symptoms were too significant to continue, so I’m going forward into a new chapter on full time disability. But I am SO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for the wonderful 23 years and career I got to have, for all of the amazing students I learned alongside, and for my co-teachers, student leaders, educational assistants, TAs, volunteers, and mentors. I’ve been way, way luckier than most.

South threw away a dozen years of photos one summer on an old computer, so I’ve selected 20 photos I still have that show the spirit of my career. Unfortunately there are hundreds of students I’ve loved not pictured here, and I could only tag the first 20. But hopefully you all can tell each other and share stories together.

I’m gonna miss IOP, Rock Climbing, Creative Writing, Oral Comm, and English 9. Thank you ALL for too many good days to count. I loved going to work every day!

Feet dug in to the earth and my head in the clouds.

It's been a wild period of time for me following my intuition, living out of a backpack and trying new things but the path has brought me home to Oregon for the summer. The community in Eugene is vibrant.

Really nice to connect with cascades again with my brother @joehahi . The clouds put on an incredible show and I'm very happy to be able to share it here with you. 🦅🦅

Photo dump from the yurt trip last week. Man those turns were deep, the heaters warm, the beers cold, and the company sweet. Suddenly overnight it’s turned to spring and mushy sloppy slopes, so stoked we got one last good trip in before volcano season bring it!!
