Just another day at the office...?

All jokes aside, installing @alfreemanjr 's monumental office supplies for @facebookopenarts presented a special challenge. Imagine driving an articulating boom lift 65' into the air to rendezvous with a #spydercrane perched on the third floor cantilevered over a #frankgehry glass atrium to hang a 90 lb power strip. Yeah.

We think the pieces are hilariously appropriate for the setting and had lots of fun putting them up. Head Rigger @ianrobertmullen and Crew Chief @thermopolis73 were deft cool and witty as usual.

Thanks for the video @kristinfarr

In light of a recent article called, “Who Really Painted ‘Salvator Mundi’? An Oxford Art Historian Says It Was Leonardo’s Assistant” written by @neuendorf at @artnet, here is a photo of our art handlers Joel and Ari preparing to install Salvator Mundi at a @christiesinc show at @minnesotastreetproject last year.

The installation of @architeschner's The Unenterable Garden for @facebookopenarts required over 16,000 lbs of slab scissor lifts to hang a lovely gentle textile-sculpture-object that weighs less than a bed-sheet (that's #arthandling with #MEWPs, friends!) Very befitting subject matter for the space and it was great to see Gabrielle in the Bay Area again even if just for a cameo appearance. Come back soon Gabrielle!

Once in a blue 'moon' we get to install the artwork of Bay Area artist and occasional salt-harvester @rachelle_reichert , such as this one commissioned by @facebookopenarts. Rachelle harvested some 350 lbs of salt from the San Francisco Bay for this marvel and the celestial aesthetics are a pleasure to behold.
