Toxic Holocaust, worldly known as @thrashteroid fav band as well as one of the most important bands of the New Wave of Thrash.
Led by vocalist/guitarist/bassist Joel Grind, the band released their 5th album, Chemistry of Consciousness, in 2013 further expanding their immaculate and unique Thrash/Punk repertoire.

This is the 2023 repress via Relapse in a beautiful green/yellow splatter vinyl. Comes with a lyrics/cover art sleeve.

One of my favorite thrash metal songs.

What I love most about this track is that its power doesn't come from speed alone. Instead, it's built around a slow, crushing groove that makes every riff hit even harder.

Joel Grind's vocals sound incredibly raw and aggressive, fitting the atmosphere perfectly.

🤘☢️🤘 When I first started the BLÜRGH project I was following on from my late teens early 20s in the 80s when I played in a variety of speed metal, thrash, and hard-core bands where I wrote music and songs at home with my little four track Fostex cassette recorder. Fast forward 35 years and I’m right back at it. Final recordings were done by @blackcaverecordings which is why the Album sounds so bloody good!
Inspired by some of my favourite one man bands, I knew it was time to bring the full weapons of thrash destruction to bear once again!
At the time I was heavily into @hellrippermetal and still am and I consider James to be the future of metal!
Another massive influence is Quorthon from @bathoryofficialig and I know he was a huge influence on my third huge influence @joelgrind of @toxicholocaust_official who I was lucky enough to fanboy meet in Glasgow 2019 on their legendary toxic Waste tour! I even got the Album!
It just goes to show that it’s never too late and you’re never too old to fucking toxic thrash!
