I’m on a mission.

Bronze fan wheel. No radio. A wooden shift knob with perfectly symmetric layer lines that's also height adjustable. Turns out my 964 has been running Mission S spec for some time already. 😇

Jokes aside: what a week to be a car enthusiast. Porsche built a 10 out of 10 and for a moment the whole industry remembered why we love this. There is hope!

Petro Surf 2026!🏝️🏁

Die Reise führte zunächst über Dänemark mit einem Zwischenstopp in Schackenborg, anschließend zum Fähranleger in Rømø und von dort mit der Fähre weiter nach Sylt.

Am Strand von Samoa kamen zahlreiche Porsche zusammen – vom klassischen Elfer bis hin zu individuellen Umbauten. Neben den Fahrzeugen standen vor allem die Gespräche und der Austausch mit anderen Porsche-Enthusiasten im Mittelpunkt.

Hier sind ein paar Eindrücke von der Reise und dem Wochenende auf Sylt!

One of the best parts of the Porsche community is the people in it. The enthusiasm, the creativity, the sharp sense of humor that runs through all of it.

Case in point: my good friend @mgideon_ , together with Nick aka @sloatmanvintageautomotive and @joseph_kennelty , somewhere along the way decided the world needed a self-help group for project car owners. They called it Project Cars Anonymous, and it is genuinely one of the funniest things in the scene right now. If you are not following them yet, do yourself a favor.

But they are not just funny and creative. They are also really good humans. After Air|Water and the @sight.magazine event in Ojai hosted by @10percent.studio the guys @projectcarsanonymous hosted me for a full day of winding down at Nick's personal workshop in Ventura, which doubles as the unofficial home of Project Cars Anonymous.

A few firsts that day. My first unplanned (and very, very cold) swim in the Pacific, thanks to Michael and Nick's persistence. My first time driving a hand-built hot rod, which felt less like driving a car and more like riding a cannonball. And a long dinner with the boys that turned into the kind of night you do not want to end.

Cheers, guys. I already miss you. Hope to see you all soon.

2025 is over. Lots of laughs and amazing times, however that was yesterday. We’re ready for 2026, and all the great people we’ve worked with.

We had a major setback, but you know what they say: 'the show must go on.' Especially when it's for science and entertainment. So, I was testing prototypes in the worst conditions – heavy rain, slow traffic – and I discovered the wipers were causing issues with the rear mirror's visibility.

Car Week is over. It was great to meet old and make new friends, see those cars. How was it? Busy, crowded, cold but silent, natural, cosy at our campground. See you next year!
