New day. New week.
Clayfield Hotel & Terrain Restaurant are picking up speed, and it’s great to see everything coming together.

Had the best time avoiding the smoke in Toronto with the whole Nine Nine birthday crew! We had enough street cred to make it through this super fun escape room!

Had a great night checking out Ravine Vineyard in St. Davids after 7 or 8 years!
It started out really warm but then the sun tucked itself in behind the trees and it was a lovely night!

They are offering a two or three course tasting menu right now that comes with lots of yummy sides as well! Overall a great value! Highly recommend 💘

Took me way too long to post this! 😂

A dinner in the vineyards (DIV) event with my roommate/classmate/friend/sister Ariella, Cherish and Chef Joel.

Chef gave us the freedom to curate our own menu for this event and this has been one of the highlights of my summer. Chef Joel joked that working with us could either be a dream or his worst nightmare, but I think it was something else entirely! 😊 This was an incredible experience—made even more special by sharing them with guests against such a breathtaking backdrop.

Canapés:
- Quebec foie gras mousse, raspberry choux craquelin, sour cherry compote, shaved hazelnut
- Paynter’s Tomato tartelette, Parmesan sable, tomato-berries ketchup, honey tuile
- Organic BC polenta bites, blueberry-horseradish jam, grilled zucchini, pickled carrot coins, dill oil

The last slide is crazy😭 Cherish and Nilesh were too stunned to speak cause ariella is something else😫

We’re thrilled to share some VERY exciting news for our industry with you all 👏 We have secured funding for a tangible Restaurant Culture Shift Program to help navigate the challenges with labour shortage and recruitment that we know many operators are facing. Over the next 18 months, we’re going to be working with 95 businesses one-on-one to develop pathways to successful teams and sustainable careers.  Right now, we’re looking for 10 businesses to participate in the initial assessments of this project, which is funded by BC’s Sector Labour Market Partnership Program. This form will take 15 minutes to complete. Our team will review your forms and plan for a visit. Over a month, we will invest several hours into your business to help develop a clear and concise dashboard for innovation in your workplace culture.

This dashboard will offer you tangible ideas that can help you engage with your team in new ways and provide you with tools that will help streamline your operations. We’ve engaged some great minds in the business to help develop the tools that target recruiting, retention, staff development, equity, diversity and inclusion AND systems changes.  Can you join us on this journey to improve restaurant workplace culture?
