I can’t believe I am saying this but today marks 10 years in the UK, I don’t even know where to start!

Me and @riccardocencimedia set off in 2016 in his dad’s car with a guitar, a laptop and a dream. I had no idea what that dream actually meant at the time, but 10 years on it looks more or less like this:
- I co-wrote/recorded/mixed/mastered hundreds of songs and made so many new friends whilst doing so
- performed soooo many times in the studio and live as a guitarist, singer, bassist and drummer
- helped VIVAS for their Sheffield Stadium gig opening for Def Leppard + Motley Crue and their Bryan Adams tour
- mixed Malevolence’s legendary live set at Bloodstock’s main stage (and other super cool gigs)
- recorded in so many beautiful studios such as Metropolis Studio A, Studio 91 and Decoy Studios
- got invited to When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas where I saw many of my favourite bands from side stage (Sum 41, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low, Good Charlotte, just to name a few)
- bought some of the gear I used to dream of
- did FOH at Manchester O2 Academy
- relearnt how to code, got waaaay too excited about it, started a company called fedDSP that pushed me in a completely new direction, including diving into the super interesting world of video
- bought my own house (featuring a very mastering friendly Fed Cave, of course!)
And so so so so much more stuff!

The UK allowed me to do my favourite thing: to be curious, to be constantly inspired and to create, create, create. Whether it’s a new song, a drum fill, a video, a piece of software, a super-complicated IEM rig with PCs/CCs to control DMXis and AX8s, creating is what makes me feel alive!

I couldn’t have done it without some very very special people, too many to mention, but the most important one without a doubt is @maraya__ because without her support, positivity and patience (even too much patience at times hahaha) I wouldn’t have the endless energy and push to pursue all of this craziness, I love you!

I’m sure I’ve left out many things, but I’m very grateful for every single person who’s shared the journey with me so far. I’ll end with a necessary “10y in the UK? Completed it mate”

Block 3 stills!

I don’t really know how to put this week into words. For the past few months, so much of my life has been about getting to this point. Constantly preparing for something at a scale I’ve never come close to attempting before.

This week we shot one of the most complex blocks of Afterglow. There were days running on barely any sleep, hundreds of daily decisions, difficult setups, things going wrong and somehow coming back together again. All while being so deep inside something I’ve wanted for so long that I haven’t really had the time to stop and comprehend that it’s actually happening.

So upon much reflection in the last few days, I’m going to let myself say it… I’m really fucking proud of what we’re making. I’m proud of these performances, these images, this story, the sound we’re getting. I’m proud of everyone who trusted me enough to step into this strange little world that lived in my head for so long, and bring something of themselves to it that I could never have created alone.

There’s still a long way to go, but a huge part of Afterglow exists now! And it’s because of the wonderful people below!

Really enjoyed being part of this one. 🎬

I was lucky enough to be asked to join the cast of this feature film — a dark drama/horror — and had a great time working on it.

A brilliant experience from start to finish, and even better getting to work alongside some seriously talented people. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together.

Download 2026 🖤

I still have absolutely no clue how we managed to pull this off on a day’s notice but we made it! My third consecutive Download and as always it’s one of my fave weekends of the whole year! This time around the Saturday also happened to be mine and @arran.lomax ‘s anniversary and I can’t think of a better way to spend it!

This was our first time not camping and it felt very strange but the shower, bed and Greggs breakfast every morning made it all better! (It also encouraged me to overpack even more than usual though as you can see on the final slide)

I could waffle for ages about how much I love Download, and how much I sobbed during Linkin Park, and how I watched a woman headline Download (finally!) for the first time ever, but the main point of this post is just that I’m v grateful this is my life, I’m grateful to be surrounded by the best people and I already can’t wait for the next one! ❤️‍🔥
