📝: Cinco de Mayo 🌹

Today feels deeper than just a date on the calendar.
It’s a thread… pulling me back through time—
back to 1993,
back to the people who helped shape me,
back to the moments that built my story before I even knew I was writing one.

We are all connected…
in ways we don’t always understand right away.
Through music.
Through memory.
Through the people who cross our path and leave pieces of themselves behind.

There’s something about hearing a song,
seeing a video,
feeling that pull—
like life quietly reminding you:

“This mattered. These people mattered. You still carry it.”

And today, on Cinco de Mayo,
I feel the remembrance.

Not just of history…
but of my history.

Of brothers, sisters,
family by blood and family by life.
Of women, children, husbands—
of love, of struggle, of rising.

It’s a day of heritage, yes…
but also a day of connection.
A day to honor where we came from
and who walked with us to get here.

Even when we didn’t understand it then.

I see it now.
I feel it now.

And I carry it forward—
with respect,
with gratitude,
with love.

✨ Everything is connected… even the parts we’re still learning to understand. ✨

Lafayette Rim Trail with the fellas. Started just before sunrise, got that quick hike in before most people have finished wiping the boogers out of their eyes 😂

Some sights and sounds from our 14 mile, 4k elevation gain hike through Las Trampas. It rained lightly, felt great. Bad ass hike, worthy of a follow up visit 👍

East Yard
You spend more time with your coworkers than anyone else... So you'd better enjoy their company. Fortunately in my case I do.
Good hike today with the fellas out in Pacifica and Devil's Slide.
