⚡️ Forecast: 100% Chance of Fun! 🐾

Our 1st-grade meteorologists just wrapped up their Spanish weather unit with a very special guest! After weeks of answering “Qué tiempo hace en Virginia?” and “¿Qué tiempo hace en Puerto Rico?” in Virginia using @telemundo44 & @telemundopr website forecasts and playing to be “meteorólogos y meteorólogas”, and even doing our very own “PRONÓSTICO”, we got to meet the real meteorologist in person...and IT WAS SO EXCITING for all of us (including teachers)!

A huge thank you to @joemartineztv - Joseph Martinez - , MS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist from Telemundo/NBC, for visiting @thelangleyschool

Joeseph did an amazing presentation and our students learned more about weather patterns in Virginia and Puerto Rico. He also answered a “storm” of questions from our first graders.

It was no surprise that the students were mostly obsessed with “lightning”—I guess that Lightning the Leopard might be very proud of our first grade students for all their great questions 🐆⚡️

I am beyond thankful to Joeseph for his time and for sharing his expertise with our class. It was a moment of great pride to see someone making such a significant impact in our local community and inspiring our students to dream big.
