This is my biggest project so far: 4 solo tracks, a collab with the incredible artist @joeminosaur and a 140 remix from boss @insigniodnb who also did crisp mastering of the EP. And @naifa_grfk made unreal visuals as well!
Thank you @yb_recs team for accepting the tracks and making it see the day!

Deep and organic yet techy, rave-dosed and calculated "Sentinel / MSG" wears Minosaur and L Circuit's UK roots on its sleeve. While it sounds like one for the heads, "Sentinel / MSG" embraces modernity, drawing in soft gen x club atmospheres adding to its nostalgic, ethereal vibe.

Who among you would dare say they don’t know Samotek? Indeed, the Moscow-based artist has gone beyond the concept of prolific output in recent years. So, after he’s been signed by all our colleagues at Samsara Beats, Defrostatica, Freshmoon, Muti, and more, we simply had to invite him ourselves!
True to form—and this is what makes his talent so renowned—he never ceases to surprise us with every beat, every bassline, and every melody.
Special mention goes to Minosaur, with whom Samotek has created a track featuring “classic house” influences in the vocals, taking us deep inside.
Insignio couldn’t miss out on such a celebration! Hence his remix of the EP’s title track: “Eureka.”
Tracklist:
1. Iterate
2. Eureka
3. Shall Not Pass
4. Lucky 13
5. Insider feat. Minosaur
6. Eureka (Insignio remix)

Available on all platforms from September 30th, 2026.
Order available now.

Ahead of the release of "Sentinel / MSG (SM084)", Minosaur shared some insights into the inspiration for the 2 track banger EP:

SENTINEL

"Sentinel was the first track I made in 2026. It started life on New Year’s Day (the project was originally called 'NYD'). I had some quiet time over the new year break and wanted to hit the ground running: make something instinctive, roll with the first feeling that came out, and not spend weeks tweaking and overcooking it.

The track became this collision of a huge, aggressive reese and a hypnotic chopped vocal phrase, with drums that feel both skipping and shuffly but also oddly plodding. From there it gradually opens out into deep chords, rhythmic switches and this bigger, more optimistic feeling before being pulled back into the groove. There's also this wailing vocal/synth motif that wraps the track in this feeling of hope.

Looking back, I think Sentinel captures that start-of-the-year energy: momentum, instinct and impact. It’s direct and aggressive, but there’s also this sense of things opening up, like getting moving and seeing where the year might go."

MSG
"MSG came from a session when L Circuit came to visit me in Bristol. We got a Chinese takeaway that wasn’t especially good, then thought we should make something useful out of the evening, and started this strange little project called MSG.

The intro had this weird musical idea that we liked, but the original drop didn’t quite belong with it. When we came back to it, we decided to make the rest of the track grow out of that intro instead, extending the chords and synth theme into a garagey drop with skippy drums, old break fragments and this really rough, wavering Serum bass patch I’d been meaning to use for ages.

Leon and I have known each other for two decades, so loads of our shared dance music history accidentally crept into it: trancey gated synths, DnB-style drum details, garage grooves and big bass. It keeps twisting and evolving into different places, which is why it ended up feeling unlike anything we’d made together before."
