So good to be with my wonderful sons on a cool early spring evening in the heart of middle Tennessee. Wishing my beautiful daughters were here too.

“The Lord says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’” Psalm 32:8
I had a chance to hike today with two of my three sons — wishing John could have been there with us too! We scaled Mugu Peak Trail near Malibu. The hike begins at sea level, and at the summit, there’s an American flag flying where the winds are strong off the Pacific and the marine layer can waft inward at a moment’s notice. The peak is 1,243 feet elevation, but the climb is strenuous because of several 45 degree inclines along the way, but the views when clear and the feeling of accomplishment are worth every step against gravity upward.
Something sacred happens when a weary heart meets a willing God. If you’re in a season of contending for something by faith, keep on the path. The harder it gets, my friend, the closer you are to a breakthrough!
Don’t quit.
Get ready!

This is my older brother @joestroodle. He's got a really creative mind. He isn't a diehard IG user like my little brother and myself are, but he has some pretty dope shots. Check him out #keepcalmcarryon
