And just like that, my little baby girl is already 9! 🥹💗 Time flies way too fast, and watching you grow into the sweet, cheerful, cheeky, and beautiful girl you are today has been one of Mommy’s greatest blessings.

My darling, Mommy doesn’t wish for you to be perfect or the best at everything. I only wish for you to grow up healthy, happy, kind, confident, and brave enough to follow your dreams. 🌈✨

BEHIND THE SCENES: THE STORY BEHIND THE SHOT

People see the final image and think, “Wahhh, macam Alaska!” 😂 But behind that frame at Tokong Timur is a whole different story!

Capturing the bird migration, getting the composition right, waiting for the right moment, and dealing with the unpredictable conditions… wildlife photography is never just about pressing the shutter. Sometimes, Mother Nature cooperates. Sometimes, she tests your patience until you question your life choices!

Being awarded 1st Runner-Up at the Sultan Mizan Photography Awards 2025 for the third consecutive year makes the journey even more meaningful. ❤️

I am truly honoured to be 1st Runner-Up at the Sultan Mizan Photography Awards 2025, making it three consecutive years of recognition at this prestigious competition.

Some photographs are more than just a click of the shutter. They are moments you dream of capturing, and when nature finally gives you that moment… it feels like National Geographic!

This wide-angle image captures the migration of birds at Tokong Timur. My vision was to create a scene that reminded me of Alaska, but getting the shot was no easy task. The timing, the movement, the composition and the conditions all had to come together. Nature doesn’t take instructions, and you can’t simply ask the birds to repeat the moment!

A huge thank you to @tenggolcoralbeachresort and the entire team, especially @marcusehboi for all the help and support that made this experience possible. I truly appreciate it. Sometimes, behind a photograph that looks like a Nat Geo moment, there’s a team of wonderful people helping make it happen.

Three years in a row, and I’m still learning, still chasing that one extraordinary moment, and still grateful for every opportunity to tell a story through my lens.

Went to an island in Malaysia just for fun dives, and I NEVER expected to see this!! 🐋🦈🌊✨😭

My 10.10 birthday present came a little earlier this year 🎈🎂

Swimming with a whale shark wasn’t on my birthday wishlist… but now it’s a memory I’ll treasure forever🖤

no signal, no stress,
and a whole ocean to disappear into.

laughing underwater, chasing bubbles,
forgetting real life for a little while.

didn’t know how badly I needed to feel alive again. 🫧🤿🩵

And just like that, October started with another one of our Rakan Baiduri food nights.

Of course, our @sapbrina “President of the Platter Association” had another mission for us with @joetankj siew yoke with cheese & butter platters. And surprisingly, they turned out pretty IG-worthy!

Everyone brought something homemade too — Gigi & Carmen’s chicken pie, YG & Chrissy’s Seri Muka, Ling’s Nyonya Popiah, Chef Pat’s Yam Cake, and our new Lemoncino Tiramisu for dessert.

We kept looking at the table thinking, “How are we going to finish all this?”… but somehow, we did.

Full stomachs and another good night with good friends. Not a bad way to start October. ❤️
