when my name got called tonight I did not expect it at all and I did not have a speech ready in the slightest so I just said what I could at the time which was next to nothing🤣 i’d like to thank god for letting me get up and be able to move my body everyday. I got back into running 2 years ago as an outlet to clear my head & find myself again and to do something productive because i was spiraling downwards . I followed @northendrunclub for a while and procrastinated a lot before finally showing up to a Dawn Patrol in March and I’m glad that I did because i’ve made a lot of new friends and made a lot of great memories since then. I’d like to thank @michaelrowlland and Barry for recognizing the hard work that I’ve been putting in and for creating such a great running community and environment VB. we’re just getting started , to many more miles & memories in the future ! NERC is my second family. I love y’all.❤️‍🔥

Words CANNOT even express how truly GRATEFUL I am right now.

First I want to THANK GOD for granting me this opportunity to win recognition of the week for run club at my favorite meet up spot we go to lol👏🏾

Second I want to thank every single person who has come with me on this LONGGGG Journey from day one. North End has really tested my limits, strength, mentality, capabilities, etc but has also brought amazing people into my life. I have met people here who I consider family to me, they genuinely want to see me win and vice versa. Every Tuesday @ 6:30 is literally one of my favorite highlights of the week!!

All it takes is positive community to achieve anything💯 Shout out to @barryclarrk & @michaelrowlland you guys are the best leaders, hosts, mentors I’ve ever met, more blessings to both you guys🙏🏾

S/O TO @northendrunclub FOR BEING MY OUTLET🏃🏾

I had the extraordinary honor of being awarded the NERC trophy aka the NERGY cup! 🏆

For those that don’t know, this trophy is awarded
to someone new every week for a plethora of reasons

Ultimately it highlights an individual for being a beacon of light within the community in so many different ways & for continuing to show up not only for themselves but for the many others around them

Words cannot even begin to describe how grateful & blessed I am to have received such an honorable recognition within this community

It’s hundreds of people that show up every week to the run club & to be selected amongst so many others that could have received the trophy is still mind blowing to me

My gratitude cannot be expressed enough

Thank you,

Richmond 13.1 Training Block: Week 2/17 ✅

Another fun 10+ hour training week. First week after the World Cup trip being back to ideal time on feet. Another 5k training race to wrap up Summer racing, new PB for 400m Lesner repeats avg pace, spontaneous link-ups with friends while running, lifting, and getting post-run coffee, new shoes, new wildlife spotting @ First Landing (TURKEYS?!), and won a free race entry for my next race I was already planning on doing (Neptune 8k). No cycling this week as I took an extra rest day to prep for the 5k after the past couple weeks of training. Only thing I really wish happened outside of doing better at the race was my phone not struggling to unlock to take a pic of the turkeys when they were in a group of 3 before heading off into the woods and again right after trying to take a video when I saw more. Big week coming up for week 3, looking forward to the challenge early on in this block 💪🏻

26.2 Miles of Pain actually proved to me what I can do, I’d rather run in pain than sit comfortably. Nobody can take this accomplishment from me because on that course it is only YOU VS YOU! nobody is coming to save you unless you wanna save yourself- Thank You Shamrock Marathon 2026🍀🫱🏾‍🫲🏼

Run Cheering is a straight up VIBE! What a day it was last weekend @ the Norfolk Harbor Half, the energy was extremely high from everyone on such a beautiful Sunday morning 🔥

From choppin it up w/ @jalilhowe10 most of my run, to sharing (s)miles throughout the race w/ so many friends and cheering on folks after my run, to hearing one of my biggest inspirations, Tiffany Sloan, tell me how thankful she was for giving her such a big boost on the homestretch of the race and afterwards telling me I’m gonna be a phenomenal coach someday, making my entire weekend, to celebrating the big day at the after party of course, and then Poppa @bjesse spontaneously cramming 10 people in his van to take the Sweat N Sass crew to lunch, it was one of the most fun races I’ve ever been a part of and I didn’t even race it. Would highly recommend run cheering > cheering on the sidelines for a longer race to everyone!! 🫶🏻

And S/O to my coach @howe.josephj for the idea, he did it for the VB 10 Miler and helped me close out that race 🤙🏻

ALL-STAR WEEKEND WORKOUT CLASS 🎽👟✨

Shoutout to @rward_the2nd & @briannarward … lots of fun this weekend. I’m not sure what made them think I could lead a workout class, but here’s how it would go if it were up to me! 🤣
