POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This album comes out today. It is called Life. Many countless hours spent crafting it, especially with @reedblacksound, who engineered and mixed the whole thang. This album would not be in existence without my day one homies, Dan, Avery, Denise, and Tex :)

New song everywhere you listen to songs.

A lot of family in this song. Mine. Other ones. Made with friends who’ve become family. Even @mathewdoesstuff made beautiful art inspired by a family quilt.

Produced by @joetaurone at tummy rub. Rocked the drums too. Busy guy. In the c-suite and on the assembly line. Still chopping it up at the water cooler. He’s got a lot of stock options.
@thunderkith65 and @troy.pohl on guitar and great background vocals. Bringing the warmth. Bringing the sweetness. Painting with different colors on the same canvas.
@beefpattyspecial with my favorite bass part he’s ever played, which is like saying it’s my favorite meal at shining rainbow. If you know me or Dan you know that’s very high praise.
Mastered by @scoopsrecordsmusic. A perfect job title for him.

Did most of it live because the lads were in such good form. Troy, Craig and Dan all had big ideas that changed the song in unexpected and wonderful ways.
Joe made sure we had fun moving in the same direction.

Fish Hunt — “Monkey See Monkey Do”

New York’s Fish Hunt, the project of Lucy Mondello, just released “Monkey See Monkey Do,” the latest look at their upcoming album Life, out October 23 via VHS Records.

The song started as a stream-of-consciousness fingerpicking piece and turns into a pretty sharp reflection on the current political moment. Tex Patrello plays piano, adding another layer to a song that already has a lot going on beneath its deceptively simple foundation.

Life is Fish Hunt’s third album and brings together guitar-driven songwriting, samples, real instruments, and a whole cast of collaborators, including @melaina_kol @deadsully of @teethe.tx , @joetaurone of @bruiserandbicyclemusic and Dan Poppa of @peopleyelove

“Monkey See Monkey Do” is out now.
