Assessments should always answer the question:

“What’s my lowest hanging fruit to improve in my player development process?”

Assessments drive movement prep, programming, recovery, pre-throw, post-throw, and more. They give us insight into why athlete moves how they move on the field and whether areas to improve are more physical issues or skill issues.

We had a great first round of assessments with @jaspersbaseball at @thebaseballcenternyc with @evolveptnyc Reassessment coming in a few months 💪🏻

Fundamentals > fluff

The best thing high school athletes can do is develop a wide movement catalog, sprint/jump 2-3x/wk, and progressively overload big lifts with great technique

Don’t be in a hurry to look for the next more “advanced” training method

The basics work for a really long time if you let them

Words cannot describe my love for this team. The past 3 years have been nothing but pure joy, entertainment and laughter.

To the coaches- Thank you for all your support, teaching me GameChanger, and for helping me during my many mistakes sophomore year to even my few this year.

To Victoria- Thank you for joining the baseball family this year and bringing endless smiles to the team. I’m am so proud of you and can’t wait to see you grow as a person and a manager in the next two years. I expect many updates and I will be visiting!!

To the players- Even though I’m always the one in the dugout, it feels like you guys are my biggest cheerleaders. You include me and treat me as a member of the baseball family. Not only do you guys ask me about stat boosts but you genuinely care about my life. I have never had a bad day in the dugout. If I step in a little stressed or on edge you all make sure I leave with a smile on my face. You all never fail to make me laugh, even if you are not trying to. These are memories that will stick with me forever. I will miss every single one of you but I know you will all do great things next year! @rpsbaseball
