Motherhood is realizing that while you’re celebrating another year of your child’s life, you’re also remembering every little version of them that got you here.

And being a missionary mom has added such a special layer to that.

When you live far from family, you learn that family can also be built. Through serving together, sharing life, showing up for one another, and doing life in a place that once felt unfamiliar, you build relationships that become so much more than friendships.

You watch people love your children, celebrate them, pray for them, and become part of their story. Raising our kids abroad hasn’t always been easy, but moments like these remind me that God is so kind to give us people who help make a place feel like home.

Happy birthday, Esmee.✨

Watching you grow is one of my greatest joys, and I’m so grateful for the village that gets to love you along the way.

Since it’s been a while I posted, I saw this as a perfect opportunity to pick up where I left off..

I’ve had some exhausting days behind me, but I was happy to hop on and hold it down for my brother @jdecampss for the first service led by @baruchsanchez @voamsterdamintl reunited with my brother @joey_fromtheblock (keys) assisted by @chrizkeyz_ and even meeting some new found talented brothers such as @justinzandermusic (guitar) and @fer.weiss (bass). For the second service my boy @jdecampss (drums) had to come show em what he’s made of and blew it away @thirdwaveams 🔥👏🏾
