Women lifting Women

The more women entering the property arena, the more women we will see overall in this space because women inspire other women.

What a fabulous conversation we had yesterday evening at the Women In Property Event. Thank you Lucy Johnston for hosting this event at your offices in London Close Brothers Property Finance and John King for inviting me.

Many topics were covered including that of diversity in the industry. A snapshot of my thoughts on this mammoth subject:

If we continue to fish in the right ponds; locate those hard to reach groups when recruiting; are confident to lift from within our own minority cultures; and make property and construction a curriculum subject (not just for those alienated from mainstream school). This would be a positive ‘start’ for diversity and inclusion.

I thoroughly enjoyed the discussion. The panel was expertly hosted by Rhiannon Curry and I enjoyed sitting alongside Charlotte Edwards and Liz Sweeney.

We are so proud to support community-oriented SME developers like the fantastic Lorraine Thomas @view_from_my_window__, who champion the next generation of the housebuilding industry.

Chuffed to be featured in London Daily News courtesy of my unique lender John King @ca.ltd

I continue to enjoy what I do despite the challenges of the current financial landscape.

As property developers we don’t often talk about our support networks and the extended team that make it happen behind the scenes of any deal.

Commercial Acceptances Ltd are savvy lenders who understand that one size doesn’t fit all and are extremely foreword thinking in their approach to lending. It’s great that they are championing the next generation of developers.

They have supported my business on a few occasions and it’s exciting to see one of my past deals with them covered by London Daily News.

View From My Window, as one of its offerings runs a mentoring programme to support those that are READY to take that leap into property and need support.

Enjoy the read! Link in bio above under Press

This is me with Martin O’Brien and John King from Commercial Acceptances at the Fab Collab Launch Party a couple of weeks ago.

I have been a client with CA for four years. They have lent to us on a few properties now which has enabled us to buy quickly at Auction and refurbish them to a high standard. We recently collaborated on a unique deal which helped to support young people to get onto the property development ladder.

CA are quite a unique lender. They listen, understand and get it. Most of all they are quick. I really enjoy working with them.
