Busy day at @herasportscards

@johnabroggi stopped by to pick up some cards, Sophie was helping out behind the counter, and and we started training Sabrina on the POS system.

Apparently Sabrina has some unexpected free time on her hands. We’re not asking questions. We’re just happy she can cover weekends.

We had a good first Sunday in the shop topped off by a very special visit from my good hobby pal @johnabroggi. It was great to catch up - plus he snagged a few good ones from the showcases. Thanks so much for making the trip, John!

Remember that time when we all pranked @women.on.topps and I took the selfie to commemorate the moment? Yeah, me too. That was so fun.

The National is the National Championship of Malicious Generosity, and apparently everyone showed up ready to commit cardboard felonies against me.

Someone gives you an absurd card. You love it. Dreamy. You get furious. You retaliate. They escalate. Suddenly nobody is safe and we are all screaming over pieces of cardboard in a convention center.

Over the next week or two, I’ll be sharing some of the MOST malicious acts of appreciative violence I suffered in Chicago.

Consider this your primer.

Strap in, folks. The cardboard war crimes were extensive.

The prank war has officially reached a level that HR would describe as “unmanageable.”

Friday, my entire ride or die gang showed up wearing matching t-shirts featuring my photo with Shey Peddy… designed as the 2025 1/1. Yes, the same 1/1 card that was hanging around my neck all week.

For those who’ve been following along, this is the same card Tai previously gifted me as a pillow… and a full-size blanket. Apparently normal friendship was never an option.

In retaliation for that original gift, I named a star in the registry “Tai Fauci Loves Ashley Hatch.” At the time, I thought that was a reasonable response.

It is now becoming clear that I underestimated the escalation strategy. I may have to look into renaming a planet.

Behind every ridiculous prank is a reminder of how lucky I am. I somehow found a group of friends who support each other through life’s challenges, make each other laugh until it hurts, and never miss an opportunity to commit to the bit. That’s worth far more than any card in the case. ❤️

The National has filled an entire convention center with tiny cardboard men.

Booth #865 made the women enormous so nobody could pretend they didn’t see them.

Omg I can’t wait! It’s the greatest week of the year! I’ve got my National 2026 GOAT packs loaded, this year 1:10 packs will have an auto. They are totally free while supplies last! I’ll be hanging all week with JKJ Collectibles at Booth #865 - find me there or on the show floor!!

Let’s rip into one to check out what GOATs are lurking.

Who will be at The National this week??

The annual tradition continues. I’ll be giving out free Women on Topps GOAT Packs all week at The National. This year I’ve added autographed cards from across women’s sports to random packs.

Find me hanging around Booth 865, or track me down somewhere in the chaos. I’ll have packs, cards to trade, and probably several conversations happening at once.

Think of it as a stimulus package for your collection.

Back at The National this year, and once again I’ll be hanging out with @johnabroggi and the crew at JKJ Sports in Booth 865.

If you’re at the show, stop by and say hi. I’ll be looking to trade cards with old friends, meet new ones, and talk women’s sports cards. Whether you collect WNBA, PWHL, NWSL, Olympic, softball or something more obscure, come find me.

I’ll also have my annual WOT 🐐 Packs to give away while supplies last. They’re free, they’re fun, and they’ve become one of my favorite National traditions.

I also have a few free on-site events and collaborations in the works, so stay tuned. I’ll be sharing more details as we get closer.

See you in Chicago.

This is how you know everything changed.

A saved search.

Before Caitlin Clark
Less than 100 new cards a day

After Caitlin Clark
So many listings he had to filter her OUT

Let that sink in

The problem went from
Nothing to buy

To too much to process

That’s what attention does

New episode of @wnbacardpod with @coldlunchcards and special guest @johnabroggi out now on The Stacking Slabs Network. Shout out to @cardladder for supporting the pod.

I open a package FROM A FRIEND thinking it’s something normal…
It’s custom M&M’s.

With Liz Cambage’s face on them.

JOHN BROGGI.

You really woke up and said, “How can I emotionally destabilize Annemarie today?” and then ordered edible chaos. The commitment. The execution. The psychological warfare. Elite.

Well played.

Retaliation loading.
