Last week I got the opportunity to attend the YLDC for the American Association of Christian Schools in Washington DC. I had the chance to participate in a mock senate, go to briefings at the Capitol and the White House, tour the monuments, lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery, and so much more. The best part, though, was the great people I met, and friends I made. To anyone at an AACS school, I would highly recommend you look into this program. To everyone who supports the YLDC, financially or by working as a chaperone or organizer, thank you for making this possible! And to all the friends I made, thanks for making this week one we’ll never forget. #aacsyldc

New year, new mindset; finally enjoying the process again. Also in my track baddie era! (Half tights not pictured.)

Junior Year Recap:
The wheel of fortune is always turning; sometimes things go bad, and sometimes they don’t. This year went right in many ways: new friends, new school, good grades, conference championship, traveled the country, and had the opportunity to continue running. I look forward to next year and all the memories we will make. Fast times coming soon…
