The remnants of Isaias kept me from making Lucero’s show in Amityville last Sunday, but thankfully the weather was much nicer when I caught them in Rutherford, NJ at the Williams Center. It’s a pretty interesting venue with a movie theater on the first floor. 🧐 Also had the good fortune of having Jared Hart open with Joelton Mayfield!

Day 6’s & 7’s of a Hundred Days of Hawaiians
#hundreddaysofhawaiians
True Craft - Size: XL
Measurements: 25” x 28” 16.5”
Material 100% Rayon
You can see how poorly this shirt has aged. That’s what happens to Rayon!
It looks good in the store.
It feels nice and soft and you get a couple of wears out of it before it looks like a shriveled sack.
I want a shirt that lasts.
Rayon won’t give you that, Kenny.

I’ll never get tired of seeing @luceromusic live. So pumped I got to photograph one of my favorite bands of all time since I was a teenager. 🤘 And @thegrove.ky truly is magical. ✨

We stayed up all night drinking, watching the @drivebytruckers play the @hitonememphis then took them to 1372 so they could crash while we headed downtown to be on one of the morning shows…
We ran outta steam about an hour into hurry up and wait.

What a beautiful week of shows.

Man, I don't know if there's a more perfect example of The Great American Band than @luceromusic. They're everything I love in a group: heart lyrics and loud guitars and sweat and grit and kindness and humility and sarcasm and LOUD and the pedigree that comes with putting in the damn miles. Their crew is about as good to me as anybody I've ever toured with. Their fans legit love them, and it's hard to have anything but a massive grin on your face when you take it all in.

So a massive thanks to Ben, Brian, John C, Roy and Rick for having me and for introducing me to their fans.
A massive thanks to Amanda and Joe and Scott and Jon for the kind of hospitality an opener rarely gets.
A massive thanks to the staff at @wildwoodiowacity, @firstavenue, @turnerhallmke, @castletheatre, and @thegrove.ky for hosting us in beautiful spaces. Very special thanks to my brother @wdmillermusic for filling in for @adamleeband as tour manager. We were timely if not sane.

If you've somehow never heard Lucero, I think I'd point you to Among the Ghosts. That's my favorite song, and encapsulates everything I mentioned above.

I breathe for a few days and then I head up to @mileofmusicfest in Appleton, WI. Y'all comin?

Hell yeah, the dishes are done!
We wanna thank everyone who came out and helped us have a blast and also thank @thomasdollbaum and @justinwellsmusic for hanging out, playing songs and being awesome!
@benlucero74 is headed out soon and we’ll see y’all later this fall!

Again, thanks everyone!

Went to see @luceromusic last Friday in Co Springs. Brian had never been to Garden of the Gods so I dragged him over there before soundcheck and then I stuck around for soundcheck (which we were an hour late for cause @brianneilvenable can't be bothered to check a schedule) and the VIP meet & greet thing and the first 10 songs of the show but it was f*cking hot in that room and I had to work the next day so I left early. It was good to see everyone! Looking forward to getting to see the guys again at least once or twice in October when they roll through the southeast when I'm there. 😊❤️
