What an AWESOME experience @laurenhutchens_ and I shared this past weekend at @amerisbankamphitheatre in Alpharetta!
Getting to see Drew & Ellie Holcomb and @needtobreathe live for The Long Surrender tour was ABSOLUTELY incredible! The amount of talent on the stage Saturday night was overwhelming!
And to top it off, we had the incredible blessing of meeting @drewholcombmusic , @ellieholcomb and the guys from NEEDTOBREATHE making an already amazing night even more unforgettable!
So thankful for moments like this! Coming together with so many people, enjoying great music, and making unforgettable memories together. It truly felt like a little taste of Heaven! ❤️🪽🎶 #needtobreathe #drewandellieholcomb #concert

Please join us in welcoming our newest veterinarian Dr. Julia Smith!
Dr. Julia Smith is a 2023 graduate from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She started her career working with horses, completing a specialty internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Texas. She continued her career caring for horses in Middle Georgia to be closer to family. Dr. Smith elected to shift her focus to caring for dogs and cats, choosing to join the Hands of Hope family!
Dr. Smith is a certified @fearfreepets practitioner, and she enjoys integrating her knowledge of behavior into all of her visits. She has a passion for feline medicine and specifically loves caring for our feline family members! Dr. Smith also enjoys canine sports medicine, as well as providing comprehensive care for aging pets.
Dr. Smith and her fiancé Jake have a two year old Labrador Retriever named Juniper, and they fondly remember their beloved angel cat named Casey. In her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys training and going on adventures with Juniper, cooking, gardening, and golfing with her fiancé.
We are so excited to have such an awesome addition to our Hands of Hope family! #handsofhope #veterinarian #vetmed

It’s been such an incredible blessing getting to sit beside my dad and worship together every Sunday morning.
Some of my favorite memories growing up were spent listening to him play and sing, not even realizing at the time how much those moments were shaping me. Music was more than just sound in our home. It was a connection, it was joy, it was something that brought us closer together.
Now, getting to share the platform with my dad, worshipping side by side, feels like a full circle blessing that I don’t take for granted. What once was me watching from the sidelines has turned into us playing together, lifting up the same songs, with the same heart, to our Savior.
It’s more than music, it’s our legacy, it’s our faith, it’s our family. And every single time we play music together, I’m reminded just how good God is to allow moments like this.🎵🎶❤️ #worship #goodnessofgod

Hope has never been defined by a diagnosis, only by the light within her that she brings into every room she enters. She teaches us, without even trying, that joy is not circumstantial, that determination can outshine doubt, and that love doesn’t come with conditions or limitations.

There have been moments of discouragement. We’ve heard it all:

(At birth, skeptically) “Does she look like her siblings?”

“She won’t ever be able to breast-feed.”

“She won’t walk before she’s 2 years old.”

“She’ll never be on the swim team.”

“Is she stubborn?”

“She’ll never be a doctor like her daddy.”

“There’s people in our church that won’t want to work with her.”

“______ school will NEVER accept her.”

Words that cut deep until we are reminded that God has a plan and a purpose for our little girl. He alone defines who she is and what she will become. Our HOPE is in Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭‬11

Every single step of our Hope journey has been filled with victories. Some big, some small, all beautiful. And Hope meets each one with a strength and spirit that humbles us daily. She shows us what it looks like to keep going, to keep smiling, to keep loving no matter what.

We are endlessly grateful for the people who have walked beside us… the ones who see Hope for who she is, not what she has. The ones who celebrate her abilities, encourage her growth, and believe in her future just as much as we do. You have helped shape her world into a place where she is known, valued, and loved.

Because that’s the truth about Hope

She is capable.

She is strong.

She is joyful.

She is so much more than any label.

She is “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

If you’ve ever met her, you already know Hope has more than an extra chromosome, she has an extra measure of love that this world desperately needs.

Hope, you are one of our greatest blessings.

We are so proud to be on this journey with you.

Today, and every day, we celebrate YOU. 💙💛 #WorldDownSyndromeDay #hope #downsyndrome #downsyndromelove

I don’t know about you, but this pup’s feeling 22.

Today we get to celebrate a true legend, Miss Lil Bit Cline, who’s marking her 22nd trip around the sun. Yes, you read that right! Lil Bit is 22 years old today! It’s wild to think we’re here in 2026 celebrating a pup who’s been lighting up the world since 2004!

Moments like today remind us how truly blessed we are to walk life’s journey with incredible animals and the families who cherish them. Milestones like a dog’s 22nd birthday are the kind of joy we never take for granted.

Happy Birthday Lil Bit! It is an honor to be a part of your story! We HOPE you have a fantastic day!

***Don’t forget*** Join Hands of Hope Animal Hospital in helping our friends at @pawsinmidga spread Christmas cheer to the many animals waiting for their “furever” homes this holiday season.
Drop off supplies to our office or go online to Paws in Middle Georgia to donate.
We’re extending the drop off window for supplies to this Friday, December 26th! Just in time for you to donate the gift cards you receive from returning the two sizes too small undies and fuzzy socks your Great Aunt Ruth gave you for Christmas. (No offense to any Great Aunt Ruths out there. It’s the thought that counts.🤣🤣) #handsofhope #giving #christmas

I’m so thankful for the countless blessings in my life.
For my family and especially for my beautiful copilot in life, Lauren.
For the friends who value me more for who I am than for what I do.
For the incredible team I get to serve alongside as we bring healing and HOPE to our community.
For the wonderful families who entrust us with the care of their animals.
For the amazing opportunities placed in my path.
For the grace and mercy I’ve been shown.
For the freedom I’ve been given at a cost I could never repay.
For forgiveness and for faith.
For you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
