These are my heroes. Those serving in the trenches of college ministry for a lifetime!

Was struck by this thought in my quiet time today…

Our culture is obsessed with youth to an unhealthy degree!

Even in church leadership culture.

Yes, we should be celebrating and raising up younger leaders but I think many have the unhealthy perspective that a younger leader is better. This is rarely the case!

I say this realizing that I am a relatively young leader myself. I know I have much to learn and wisdom to gain…

In Scripture, having young leadership was at times not a blessing but a curse! “And I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.” Isaiah 3:4

If you are an older leader, your best years of ministry are ahead of you. Don’t buy the lie from the culture that you are irrelevant. You are irreplaceable!

Invest in younger leaders and bear with our untempered zeal and foolishness. Most of us just want to make you proud and look to you more than you will ever know.

“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” Hebrews 13:7

“One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

Such a joy to have my Mom and Dad here with us to spend time with them and to have them train the @goodsoildiscipleship students!

Happy Birthday Dad! @johnlworcester

I am so grateful for your godly example and legacy! I shared this at a conference recently but I admire your humility and passion to labor in the harvest for the lifetime. Even though you travel the world training church planters you make time to love individuals wherever you are. This picture of some of your “Discovery Group” getting baptized is an image that captures what you are all about. Laying down your life so that others may find life in Christ! Your passion is as white hot as ever! I want to be just like you when I grow up. You are a modern day Caleb in this generation 😤⚔️🔥💯

“Now, as you can see, the LORD has kept me alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise—even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then. So give me the hill country that the LORD promised me. You will remember that as scouts we found the descendants of Anak living there in great, walled towns. But if the LORD is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the LORD said.” Joshua 14:10-12

COLLEGE MINISTRY CHANGES FAMILY TREES! 😭🤯🙌

I am here in New Mexico for a conference with @nmsuchallenge and other campuses across the state and had the opportunity to walk University of New Mexico where my father met Christ in Alvarado Dorm reading a gospel booklet called “The 4 Spiritual Laws” alone in his room after a college ministry staff member gave him a copy earlier that night. Now all four of his sons are in missions & ministry! Remember, your investment in reaching, discipling and mobilizing the next generation transforms family trees and the nations for Christ! 🚀🌏🙌
