This is a 2005 SSC Ultimate Aero SC/8T prototype, the 2nd of just 3 total SC/8T prototypes constructed. This model was the preview to the Ultimate Aero model which was built in limited numbers by SSC North America from 2004-2013. In 1999, an engineer by the name of Jerod Shelby founded Shelby SuperCars with a goal in mind of developing an American-made supercar. The companies name was later changed to become SSC North America in order to differentiate themselves from Carroll Shelby’s iconic Shelby American company, which has no relation to SSC. After much time was spent engineering, designing and developing between Jerod Shelby and his team, SSC North America eventually introduced their first ever prototype in 2004, and it was officially named the SSC Aero SC/8T prototype (001). With things quickly advancing for SSC after developing a total of 3 SC/8T prototypes, by the year 2006, the company would have already built its first ‘production car’, a ‘Cobalt Blue’ car called the Ultimate Aero TT. In 2007, the team achieved an official Guinness World Record for ‘the fastest production car in the world’ with the second production car built 002. The carbon-fiber and titanium constructed Ultimate Aero TT managed to set a speed record of 412.28 km/h (256 mph), the average of two runs in opposite directions in accordance with the FIA Speed Records rules. The prototype SC/8T cars made use of a variety of supercharged V8 engines, while the TT cars were powered by a series of twin-turbocharged V8 engines. The SSC Ultimate Aero cars were continuously enhanced as the years went by, ultimately culminating in the companies final 6.9L twin-turbocharged V8-powered Ultimate Aero XT model in 2013. Particularly, this example was first ever finished in a full silver paint finish with silver wheels and a red interior, and today is shown with black wheels, and black striping.

This fascinating, and very rare car shown here is known as the 2015 Zagato Perana Z-One (Z10005). The Perana was originally a styling exercise for the 2009 Geneva Motor show completed by Italian coach building and design company, Zagato, and in total, just 7 cars are believed to have been created. An additional 4 cars were also completed, however, the name was changed in 2012 to become the AC 378 GT Zagato. The Perana Z-One project was developed by a South African car company known as Perana Performance Group and each car was manufactured at the Hi-Tech plant of Hi-Tech Automotive & Superformance. The reason for the name change from the Z-One into the AC 378 GT was due to Superformance partnering up with British specialist automobile manufacturer AC Cars in the year 2012. The car you see here, the Z-One is built based upon the chassis of a C6-generation Corvette, and the result was a beautiful collaboration between the Italian design house, Zagato, and South Africa’s Perana Performance Group. On top of the elegant lines and styling, the engine options were to be chosen by the buyer of each vehicle, most of which opted for a Chevy small-block LS3 aluminum V8, however, this specific Z-One is equipped with a custom built Thompson Automotive LS7 7.3/600 HP engine paired to a Tremec 6-speed transmission. Some other unique touches on this rarity include Recaro leather sport seats with Ferrari leather inserts, power windows, power brakes, power steering, staggered 19" and 20" Wheels, a 6 speaker sound system, a fantastic ‘Liquid Blue Pearl’ paint finish, and of course, the famous Zagato ‘double bubble roof’. The interior features a black and saddle tan colorway, as well as air conditioning and a double DIN radio (IPOD Ready, USB Ports, SD card, satellite navigation, bluetooth). Certainly a car that is both mesmerizing in design, as well as highly impressive in technology and performance, especially for almost 10 years ago!

This is the 2009 Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR Hurst 50th Anniversary Edition (500605), the only ACR finished in Black and equipped with the 50th Anniversary Edition Hurst Package. Hurst was originally established in the year 1958 as an auto repair shop called Hurst-Campbell. The company was founded by George Hurst and Bill Campbell, and who got their first prominent gig manufacturing aftermarket bumpers for VW buses. During this time, the Hurst-Campbell company was also developing wheels, engine mounts, and other products. By the 1960s, Hurst products had become sought-after, especially when it came to racing. The company was most recently active under a subsidiary called Hurst Performance Vehicles, which was established in 2008. The American Club Racing (ACR) was first ever offered as a package on the Phase SR II GTS, however, the example shown here is part of the ZB II-generation of ACRs built starting in 2008. Essentially, the ACR is a track-oriented, low-production variation of the already aggressive Viper model. The aerodynamic elements were for the ACR were developed by Plasan Carbon Composites, and are probably the most noticeable difference from a standard model. Notably, the on 9/14/2011, during an outing the Nürburgring, a 2010 Dodge Viper ACR managed to set the 6th fastest production, street-legal car lap ever recorded with a time of 7:12.13. Hurst had been creating automotive parts since 1958, and in the year 2008 the company decided to celebrate their anniversary with a special Hurst Viper. Just 50 total examples were built, and this being the only black ACR (car number 5 of 50) of the bunch. This example is finished in ‘Viper Black’ with gold Hurst stripes and custom Hurst identification over premium leather bucket seats in black and tan. Other unique touches include a Gold Hurst shifter as well as Gold-trimmed Hurst polished aluminum wheels!

This is as track-focused as track-focused gets. This is the 2020 McLaren Senna GTR LM (8252) finished in an homage livery to the F1 GTR 02R consisting of ‘Gulf 95 Orange’ and ‘Gulf 95 Silver’ with ‘Gulf 95 Blue’ as the primary color used, effectively making this known as the ‘Gulf Car’ of the 5 total McLaren Senna GTR LM examples built for the world. This example shown here is car number 2 of the 5 total built. As you may or may not know, the Senna GTR (75 units) is the track-only variant of the already track-focused McLaren Senna. The Senna GTR was improved with more power, less weight, extra downforce and a completely upgraded chassis in order to ensure for added performance and reliability on the track. The GTR track-only counterpart to the standard Senna features no airbags, no infotainment system, and it also comes standard with only one seat, for the driver. Nonetheless, as raw as the senna GTR is, it still at the very least does come with air conditioning and a full list of different driver aids as well. The standard Senna is already faster than anything anyone could ever need on a public road, with a 4.0L M840TR twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 789hp, you would never assume the Senna would ever need any more power. Due to the GTR being track-only, customers became interested in the possibility of a road-legal variation of the GTR, and hence, McLaren’s Special Operations department created this car shown here, the Senna GTR LM. The GTR LM was first ever shown to the public online in September of 2020, and each of the 5 examples built showcases a unique paint scheme to reflect the schemes seen on the 5 total McLaren F1 GTRs that were seen at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. The bodywork from GTR to GTR LM remains the same, however, the power receives a boost up to 833hp as well as an increased redline to 9000 rpm.
