LAST US & THEM VIDEO/FAREWELL HIGHLIGHT REEL
SIDE TWO Track 10: When Will I Be Loved? by Rookie Card with @johnmeeksmusic
Written by Phil Everly
Originally recorded by The Everly Brothers
The last of ten videos from Rookie Card's final album, Us and Them! 20 years ago, John Meeks started doing "solo" shows with various SD musicians and Adam was a harmony guy a few times. He suggested a minor key version of this beautiful 1960 Everlys classic. John had forgotten about it completely but sent us a loverly vocal from a secret Joshua Tree compound, recorded by Matt Resovich. Longtime bandmates David Berzansky and Alex Watts were brought in for hott pedal and twang action. We were going to shoot a desert drone video but we wanted to finish this before our last show so you get a tear and seizure inducing trip down memory lane instead.

Check out John Meeks' music at http://www.JohnMeeks.com

Us and Them, Rookie Card's first album since 2006, is streaming online...everywhere, especially at https://rookiecardsd.bandcamp.com/album/us-and-them
