♥️White Memorial ED♥️Started out as a baby nurse 6 years ago with @caseywestt @mama_jamie_lee_ @kradosh @sar_naz & Julianna (who knows if she instas?) Learning how to work in the ED was tough. I had multiple preceptors who def scared the shit out of me (@veelogee & @erbunny13 to name 2) but are some of the most amazing nurses I’ve met to date. I will forever be thankful that I was able to not piss my pants every shift and actually graduate the new grad program!!! Thank you to those who encouraged me, specifically @sylsin76 Idk if you remember but it was one of my first days on my own & I was struggling to keep up in fasttrack, you took me to the nourishment room (how apropos) listened to me vent in frustration with tears in my eyes & encouraged me to speak up for myself when I was overwhelmed & that it would all get a little easier each day. I’ll never forget that. I wish I could share every story like this one, so thank you to those who did this for me 💕I’m even more thankful that most of the people who trained me or I’ve worked alongside, I now consider some of my closest friends. There’s something about working in an ER, it attracts a certain type & bc working conditions can be pretty shitty (not always, but more often than not) we all learn how to roll with the punches. I highly respect and love everyone I was #blessed to work alongside. Docs, PA’s, Nurses, RT’s, all the techs, the amazing unit secretaries, all the registration staff, the medics & rescues that start the job in the field who we became so familiar with. All da peeps! The ER Tech’s who work their booties off doing EKG’s, splints, translations & all da BITALS PAPA: I love and miss working with you. To everyone I worked with and for: I consider lots of you family. Sorry for the times I was short/tired/bitchy/rude. Thanks for putting up with me & thank you for teaching me how to be a better human and a pretty good nurse ✨
