#recap I make it a point to see at least a bit of every set throughout the week. I wanted to share a clip and a post from every artist who performed at this years #ridgewoodjazzfest - @mbfmusic artistic director

Godwin Louis TV EYE main stage
Godwin Louis is the epitome of multi hyphenate: saxophonist, educator, composer, musicologist, entrepreneur and humanitarian among other things! Godwin is someone who should be a house hold name and his set at RJF is proof. A tremendous rhythm section including Harvel Nakundi on drums, Axel Tosca on Keys, Johnny Mercier on organ, Destiny Diggs Pinto on bass and guitarist Amaury Cabral Jorge blended global rhythms into tapestry for the front line of Godwin and Billy Buss to explore in, about, and beyond.

For those who are new to the party:
1. It’s pronounced Lou-eee not Lewis
2. Harlem native, raised in Connecticut and Haiti
