Looking forward to creating a soundscape alongside Hellcat Sneer (@hellcat_sneer) as we spontaneous produce ambient music for his Tape Release Show! This show also features… ✨Some Are Bunnies (@bopowersmusic @fidalgolaura @insignificantlittlebinder): a quantum experience, a fracture in time and space, ecstatic ambient washes with an ear to emotional experimentation. ✨ Philophilm (@kzh4ng @liacole7 @t.se.ae): a thin, iridescent organism found on the surface of the still water. Depending on the wind and temperature, its composition reorganizes among keys, synth, winds, contact mic, amplified objects, and singing bowls. ✨ Live visuals by @johnnyarlett (DM for address)

Always weird when YouTube suggests one of your own videos to view. The image is a still from an XGN performance with @johnnyarlett at Bantha Tea House a while back. Electric guitar, random electrical gadgets, contact microphones, piano and voice creating a thick patch of ethereal noise. Manny left the lights on because he thought we were just setting up, but that was our performance. Good times- must do it again soon. #experimentalguitarnight #xgnpittsburgh #noise #guitar #progressiverock

Pittsburgh Noise Fest II Artist Announcement: Johnny Arlett From their time as the longest standing bassist in the prolific no-wave/prog punk outfit Microwaves (hailed as the "unhinged shrieker" of the trio in light of their vocal extremities) to later performing solo/releasing experimental recordings that touch upon vibrations conjured by the likes of Nick Reinhart & Aaron Dilloway; Johnny Arlett continues to warp sensory expectations beyond their limits both in sight & sound. An accomplished touring "musician", they are also a visual artist that is recognized for their massive body of work & abstract style within the realms of image & video. Each work of theirs, whether it be personal or commissioned, is a perception bending experience that tends to leave the viewer immersed in a world much different from the one their nervous system might be used to. Recent live performances have included the utilization of stringed instruments, percussive textures, looping rhythms, samples, synth & voice. Tickets available now at www.pittsburghnoisefest.com/tickets #pittsburghnoise #pittsburgh #noisemusic #noise #experimentalmusic
