“Introducing Mimi” screened for the very first time in this beautiful Art House movie theater at @disorientfilm festival!! We loved hearing the audience laughing and reacting to Mimi’s story, and also getting to talk about the project and answer questions afterwards!

@disorientfilm - you were so good to us! thank you for creating a wonderful space to watch films, meet filmmakers, have conversations, to dance, sing, and celebrate art and asian american experiences. very special thank yous to Pam, Jo, Melanie, Jeff, Alan, J Mak, Johnny, Alex, and the rest of the DisOrient team & volunteers. from picking us up from the airport, to always having the most delicious variety of food available, you made us feel so welcomed and cared for literally every single minute we were here.

we’ll be thinking about this trip for a long time — all the connections, memories, learnings, and experiences we’ve gained. we truly could not have asked for a better first film festival experience! <3

We're still dreaming of last weekend, our first ever Harvest Paddle!

We celebrated the harvest of many things, from hops and barley, to the early fall squash. We had fun, enjoyed togetherness and beer, celebrated the river, made some new friends, and had the opportunity to educate participants about the protection and restoration of the Willamette River!

Thank you again to all who took part and supported this fantastic event, including @rogueales, @groundbreakerbrewing, @gilgameshbrewing, @localgrindeats, @renegade_mobile_kitchen, @wildrootsspirits, @trashcanjoe, @horseshoelakehops, @pjblessedbeans and photographer @johnnyc_media. As well as a huge thank you to our sponors, @wyld_cbd, @mountainroseherbs, @brewdr and @swirecocacolausa.

Such a special weekend at New Hope West Cowboy Church! We had our @newhopecollege students and staff, and even a guest fiddle and banjo player lead us in music and worship, followed by a bbq and mounted shooting expo! The best part was finishing the day with a wonderful water baptism where we saw almost 50 baptized! It was such a fun way to celebrate the end of the summer as we move into a new school year. Thank you to all who served and worked hard to make this day possible!⁣
⁣
In the midst of the topsy-turvy world in which we live, we talked about being an Outlaster... a follower of Christ full of faith and trust in the Sovereignty and goodness of God. We must continue to keep our hearts and hopes fixed on the only Kingdom that will never be shaken. May we shine as lights in the darkness so that people would see Christ. ⁣
⁣
“Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay.”⁣
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:35-37‬ ‭
