![Not only a rad skateboarder, but a light artist as well - meet @johnnyvu02 out of New Jersey (NJ) currently, originally skating out of MA!
He gives thanks to “Fat Ram” for getting him back into skateboarding and mentioning Lynch Skatepark (Boston, MA). He immediately thought his friend was out of his mind because our friend Johnny has Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD). YOPD affects 4% of the roughly 1 million people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease - in rare instances, symptoms can start in children/teenagers. YOPD can cause motor and neuro difficulties as it progresses. Per Johnny, skating have “been the best thing for me. Not just for my physical health, my balance is awesome too! I’ve connected with such a supportive community and that’s priceless. During COVID skating has kept me sane 😊”
