JUST SHOW UP! Leadership is not always about a title or a position. And sometimes, showing up does not have to be a dramatic, over-the-top event. It can be as simple as humbly flipping pancakes for your team and customers as they show up to work. Who doesn't love pancakes?!

I get it that you are the boss, you have the power, you drive the expensive car, you are "the man", but nothing creates loyalty, pride and engagement with your team more than a humble leader.

I am blessed (and I mean that 100%) to have a partner like John Paul Dejoria (and many others in the Paul Mitchell school world), and team members such as Jason Yates and Ryan Claybaugh.

An evening celebrating the power of community and generosity.

ESELO founders @osharlita and @dualsportlo were honored to attend the 2026 Paul Mitchell Schools FUNraising Gala in Hollywood alongside @aleecao and @luvcityofangels, whose company, @CAOCosmetics, was one of the sponsors for this year's gala.

Since 2004, Paul Mitchell Schools have raised more than $27 million to support beneficiaries including: The Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, Children's Miracle Network, Food 4 Africa, and more.

At ESELO, we believe that building something lasting goes beyond business. It's about the relationships we nurture, the communities we support, and the opportunities we create for others.

For our Paul Mitchell Schools 23rd FUNraising Gala, here's the incredible lineup. Our Gala is to celebrate raising over $27 million along with thousands and thousands of volunteer hours.

Paul Mitchell Schools across the country have been passionately hosting hundreds of fundraising activities to raise money through car washes, cut-a-thons, bake sales, puppy fashion shows, Barber Battles, princess parties, and so much more. This is in addition to the ongoing volunteer hours, which have included cutting hair for the hundreds of back-to-school kids through the Fred Jordan Mission on Skid Row in Los Angeles, grooming dogs in local animal shelters to get them ready for adoption days, manning booths at big community events to teach people about domestic violence, and so much more.

This is who we are at Paul Mitchell Schools. This is our culture. This is our responsibility. This is our promise to be passionate contributors in every community where we have a Paul Mitchell School.

I look forward to seeing the 600+ attendees at our gala on Sunday evening (which include 100 students and team members who each raised a minimum of $3000!), along with our many celebrities and supporters.

Just finished reading John Paul DeJoria’s book and what an incredible story. 📖

I’ve had the privilege of hearing JP speak publicly and, on a couple of occasions, having the opportunity to meet him personally. What really comes across in both his book and when you hear him speak is his incredible humility, resilience and belief in people.

His journey from incredibly challenging beginnings to building hugely successful global businesses is truly inspiring. But for me, it’s his attitude towards life, people and success that stands out the most.

A great reminder that success isn’t just about where you end up — it’s about the obstacles you overcome, the people you take with you and the values you maintain along the way.

Highly recommend the book. 🙌

When we heard that @austinwildliferescue lost their sole transport van while trying to swerve to miss an animal 🦊, we knew we wanted to help.

AWR rescues and rehabilitates 10,000 animals a year (with help from Austinites who call & bring animals in!), and almost all of them will need transport at some point. We are so glad they have a safe, reliable and larger vehicle to help with their mission of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing native wildlife.

And if you didn’t already see, their owl release earlier this week made us and everyone 🥹.
