POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I leave for England in two weeks, a visit that includes a couple of very cool events celebrating Legs McNeil’s memoir, RESIDENT PUNK: How I Smoked, Drank, and Stumbled My Way Through the ‘70s Punk Scene (and Beyond), which I co-authored.

The first is happening in Manchester at the Louder Than Words Festival, where Legs (via Zoom) and I (in the room) will be in conversation with legendary journalist and musician John Robb at 6:30pm on Friday, 13 November. I knocked together a flyer (no AI, because fuck AI) this morning like the spiffy stuff I did for a couple of the New York book events last month, and if it caught yr eye, well, mission accomplished.

Louder Than Words is a really exciting festival in the heart of a city that was the nerve center of more music I love than I can ever comprehend. If you’re in/around the area, pick up a ticket for the RESIDENT PUNK event via the Louder Than Words website. And maybe have a gander at what’s on for the whole weekend, because there’s so much goodness happening. I’m humbled to be on opposite two heroes, Nick Heyward and Clint Boon, but I’m hoping I can get them to sign books for me after.

See you soon, Manchester!

Lovely words about the new @weareliines ep from @louderthanwarofficial

‘Astonishing music from a great band” says reviewer @wayneltwcarey
“wiry guitars, insistent rhythms and the kind of direct post-punk energy that has long made them such a formidable live band” says @johnrobb77

Mini feature and a 5/5 review. Head on over to their site to read more.

The ep is out this Friday. All pre orders without t shirts have gone out and should be cheering up your letter boxes tomorrow or Friday.
We are expecting the new t shirts tomorrow and so any orders including tees will be hopefully in the post Thursday afternoon.
