Life lately – late summer madness👇🏻 The dust had barely settled on our action-packed kid-free trip to Europe, and we were off again to join old friends in the redwoods for a group camp. It was worth it. We stayed at Albee Creek Campground, in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, camping in a meadow under the stars surrounded by ancient trees. Also, it’s right near the Eel River, so you can go swimming too. 🌲⛺️ Back home, we’re scrambling to finish our yardwork and home repairs before heading up to the island, a bit later than usual. I’ll admit, it’s been A LOT, even for me. Good a lot, but a lot. While making sure to enjoy some of the things around town, too. Pictured… Willamette Valley: ✔️Tomatoes and stone fruits are ON at the farmer’s market! We picked up heirloom tomatoes and yellow plums. ✔️”Bruce,” Johnson Farm’s affectionate “Highland coo,” you can meet him too! They have loads of frozen berries (I got a large bag of loganberries) and fresh produce. ✔️A classic car at the Coburg Classic Car Show. Super fun to see all the cars, and Coburg (near Eugene) is always sweet. Albee Creek Camping: ✔️Rockefeller Loop ancient trees. ✔️Swimming in the Eel River. ✔️Camground stars so bright you could even see the Milky Way. A lot of you responded to my summer poll - “SO busy!” – so maybe I’m not alone? - - - - - - #tournesoladventures #oregonlife #eugeneoregon #familytravelblog #westcoastbestcoast

Summer weekends = the best side quests. ☀️🌲 Collecting memories like Pokémon, avoiding any Dungeon Crawler Carl-level chaos, and chasing adventures with some of my favorite people (and my favorite sidekicks, Rhuben & Dottie 🐾). The best loot is always the memories. #SummerQuest #GottaCatchEmAll #DungeonCrawlerCarl #WeekendAdventures
