I don’t enter quietly
because I’m shy.
I enter quietly
because I’m still listening
for the key the room is singing in.

I have learned to live
in the gentle space
between a downbeat
and a heartbeat,
where the body
and the music agree
on one quiet rule:
listen first, and listen kindly.

So I move through a room
the way I’d warm a choir,
unhurried, waiting for every breath
to find the same air.
I notice the soft voices,
the ones resting in pianissimo,
holding a note so tender
it could be missed,
hoping someone leans
close enough to hear it.

I do. I always do.

Because I know what it is
to feel a measure behind,
to search a crowded room
for a single sympathetic rhythm,
for someone whose pulse
keeps time with your own.

So if you are
still finding your footing,
still tuning,
still unsure
your voice belongs,
come and sit beside me.
We do not have
to speak right away.

We can let the silence
warm between us,
the way an orchestra
hums and settles
before the first phrase,
the way morning light
finds its slow way into a room.

There are no auditions here,
and no one is turned away.
Only presence.
Only patience.
Only the quiet courage
it takes to show up whole.

Friendship, to me,
is chamber music:
small and unhurried and warm,
every voice
essential to the chord,
every silence
a part of the piece.

So this is my gentle invitation:
come walk beside me.

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.””
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭27‬ ‭NIV‬‬

• Mix of two really great weeks, all have been packed to the brim and yet we all persevered through it. Day in and day out sharing at the Orange Circle just showing up and allowing ourselves to have fun and spread God’s word. But none of it all could be done on our own strength, allowing God to shape and hold us up when we are weak gives us the ability to grow.

• DM for Bible studies or come hang out at the Orange Circle and let us know!
