LegacyCon 2026 was all about building businesses, building relationships, and building legacies. This event was really a reminder that powerful innovators are making things happen. Even though I walked away from each panel feeling inspired and excited about the opportunities ahead… I left the keynote feeling especially motivated thanks to @themasterinvestor and @bilalslittle 🤑💪🏾🎉

🤎 Slow and Silky Sundays 🤎

I've been saying forever to get out the house to socialize, and go do things.

So about a week ago I got up, got dressed and got out to a @joinherkind curated event at Norton Museum of Art...

The theme was silk and PJ's, who doesnt love a good theme chile!!!
Anyway, had a 90 minute private tour of the art exhibit by Danielle, McKinney; Shelter In Place.

It was such a good time. Super cool relaxed vibes talking to other people. And you know, just appreciating the art and the culture

Another full week because August is in full swing! Here’s what happened this week in my life:

🧘‍♂️ Attended an awesome event with HerKind, where we did yoga at 8am and I was sweating by 8:15am.

🏝️ Murray Monday took us to Norton Point for some relaxing, which means I’m reading my book and Murray is scrolling through Youtube Shorts - his only form of social media.

🍅 Tomatoes at Morning Glory Farm are just showing off at this point. I made some tomato jam with them!

☕️ Cortados, obviously.

✨ Spontaneous night with new friends!

👒 Black Fashion Show with Emily + and a selfie with the fashion queen herself, India Rose!

🎡 Ran into Larry Glick at the Fair - snapping away some of the best photos ever, per usual.

✨ Had a chance to photograph Senator Elizabeth Warren’s island visit, alongside Senator Julian Cyr and MVH COO Claire Seguin.

☕️Iced coffee, who is she!?

☕️Coffee date with Lisa, library director extraordinaire

☕️Tyla’s first Chilmark Coffee soft serve at Scoops was delicious and everything she ever wanted.

🍚 Family meals at Pegah’s mean fresh, bright salads and delicious tahdig aka “con con” for us Dominicans.

🙏 Special visit from the Bishop at St. Elizabeth’s to celebrate the church’s 100th birthday in Edgartown!

How can mothers delegate without guilt—and become more intentional about where their time goes?

I sat down with @rhapsodipj , career coach, community builder, mother, and founder of @joinherkind a community connecting and supporting thousands of women across South Florida.

Rhapsodi shared such a refreshing perspective: mothers were never meant to do everything alone. Long before the modern nuclear family, children were raised in communities, villages, and tribes. Needing support isn’t a personal failure, it’s deeply human.

We also talked about the difference between spending time and investing it, the opportunity cost of trying to do everything ourselves, and how to identify what only we can do, what can be shared, and what someone else can fully own.

Delegation isn’t about removing ourselves from the things that matter. It’s about making room to show up more intentionally for them.

Thank you, Rhapsodi, for sharing your time, wisdom, and perspective with me, and for reminding us that accepting help doesn’t make us less capable. Sometimes, it allows us to bring our best selves to the roles that matter most.
