NaVorro Bowman Jr. is a 5-star basketball prospect, the No. 1 ranked player in California, and one of the top guards in the Class of 2027. The 6’3” point guard attends Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, and has established himself as one of the most exciting young players in the country. Ranked No. 11 nationally by the 247Sports Composite, Bowman is known for his explosive athleticism, impressive ball-handling, scoring ability, and physical style of play. He is also the son of former NFL superstar and four-time All-Pro linebacker NaVorro Bowman, who made his name with the San Francisco 49ers.

Bowman Jr. has already built an impressive basketball résumé, including representing Team USA and winning a gold medal at the 2026 FIBA U17 World Cup. During the Nike EYBL season with Team Why Not, he averaged over 20 points per game while competing against some of the nation’s best prospects. His ability to attack the basket, create his own shot, and impact the game defensively has made him one of the most highly recruited players in his class. In September 2026, Bowman officially committed to UConn, where he will play under legendary college basketball coach Dan Hurley. With a huge senior season ahead, Bowman is looking to finish his high school career as one of the best players in California.

Josiah “JoJo” Nance is a 4-star shooting guard and SMU commit from the Class of 2027, currently playing alongside NaVorro Bowman Jr. at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Standing approximately 6’5”, Nance has developed into one of the top basketball prospects on the West Coast. Ranked No. 78 nationally and No. 6 in California by the Rivals Industry Ranking, Nance is known for his physicality, versatility, scoring ability, and defensive intensity. His combination of size, athleticism, and basketball IQ allows him to make an impact on both ends of the floor, whether he’s attacking the basket, creating opportunities for teammates, or guarding multiple positions.

Josiah Nance, the No. 78 overall recruit in the national 2027 class, tells @247sports he has committed to #SMU.

The Mustangs are getting a big-bodied lefty guard who can thrive operating on and off the ball. He scores off pull-ups, can put pressure on the rim, and has defensive upside given his physical prowess.

He has long hoisted a reputation of being one of the top West Coast prospects entering the high school ranks and has only improved his production throughout his career.
