A few more familiar faces from a very special night. ✨ It meant so much to bring together Talawa alumni, artists, supporters and friends to celebrate 40 years of making space for Black stories and talent. The celebration continues, and so does the work. We're aiming to raise £40,000 this season to support Talawa's future. Help us keep these stories alive. Two weeks ago today our school's tour of 'Grandad Anansi' finished! 🕷️ A huge congratulations to the incredibly talented cast and crew who brought live performance to thousands of students across Suffolk, many of whom will have experienced theatre for the very first time ❤️ Thank you to John Grose for providing tour transport. 📸 Will Green Photography A production image from 'Grandad Anansi.' School children can be seen watching the cast perform a scene from the show. In the top left corner is the white version of the New Wolsey Theatre's logo, and a stat from the tour reads '34 performances.' In the centre of the image is the black, yellow and green show title.

Wishing all the best to our cast and crew of 'Grandad Anansi,' who start their schools tour today ✨ And a big thank you too to the participants of ACYCLE who recently came to meet the team and helped actors Jola and Segun come up with some dance moves! Young children sit down whilst the actors of 'Grandad Anansi' stand in front of them on the set of the show. In the top left corner is the white version of the New Wolsey Theatre's logo and at the bottom, in the centre, is the black, yellow and green show title.

Wishing all the best to the cast and crew of our latest touring schools show, 'Grandad Anansi,' who begun rehearsals today! 🕷️ An uplifting tale of love, courage and letting go, and featuring original songs and classic Jamaican folktales, this show will be touring for 35 performances across Suffolk, where over 2,700 students from 25 schools will get to watch! The tour ends with two performances in NW2, our gold-roofed building next to the main theatre, with tickets starting from just £5! 🎟️ Book yours through our website or by calling 01473 295900. The two actors from 'Grandad Anansi' smile as they pose for a photograph. They are standing on the set of the show, which includes a backdrop of an allotment, and a full-sized shed. In the top left corner is the white version of the New Wolsey Theatre's logo and across the bottom is yellow, green, black and white text that reads 'Grandad Anansi by Elayne Ogbeta.'
