#Paris { May 14 • my program } : Prints, Books & Coffee
William Eggleston “From Black and white to Color”
This book was published in September 2014 (Steidl edition) for the Parisian exhibition at Fondation HCB during “le mois de la photo”. It is definitely one of my favorite book (and event) as it includes some unpublished photographs, and displays the evolution, ruptures and above all the radicalness of Eggleston’s work when he began photographing in color at the end of the 1960s.
I am reading the book “photography and unconscious” from S. Tisseron (1996) – a French psychoanalyst. He introduces a new point of view on photography, an analysis of the photography as an activity (intellectual or not) and not in terms of images or technics.
