As I step into a new year of my life today, I find myself reflecting on the last 10 years and everything that has come with them. For the first time, I’m allowing myself to fully acknowledge just how far I’ve come and I can genuinely say that I am immensely proud of myself. Proud of the person I’ve become, proud of how I’ve held on, and proud of how I’ve continued to push through, even when life got really tough. It took me years to become as self-aware as I am today, and deep down, I’ve always believed that somehow, I would be fine. But even with that belief, I could never have imagined how the last decade would unfold. Life has surprised me in so many ways, and I’ve had to grow through experiences I never anticipated. I’m still nowhere near where I want to be, but I’m learning to appreciate where I am and everything it took to get here. Above all, I’m grateful to God for the journey, for the lessons, for the strength, and for His grace through it all. As I begin another chapter, my prayer is for more of God’s grace, wisdom, and guidance as I embrace new beginnings and whatever lies ahead.
