What Does Disc Golf Mean to Us?

Here’s a look at what disc golf means to us collectively. It’s a privilege to be on this journey alongside such amazing people who continue to do great things both on and off the course.

Thank you to everyone who contributes, supports, and helps grow the disc golf community. Your passion, dedication, and willingness to give back are what make this sport so special. @sporaxis @housetown_1 @jomo_98_ @thommo112122 @doolseye @ashdooley.dg @darkside_discgolf @behantania @cassie_sweetten @suelilysummers

Meet the Flying Fox Team – Josh “Jomo” Morrison

Josh Morrison, better known to many as @jomo_98_ , has been a familiar face around the Queensland disc golf scene since 2020.

Like many players who discovered the sport during the COVID era, Jomo’s journey started in 2020 when he played his first tournament at the Queensland Open, competing in MA4 alongside a group of players who would go on to become some of Queensland’s leading MPO players, including Luke Bayne, Nick Halstead and Hayden Fiteni.

Even back then, Josh was already making an impression — a talented player with a big smile, a kind nature and a genuine love for the game.

He continued playing around the north side of Brisbane, building friendships, making connections and developing his game. In 2021, he picked up his first win at ADGD, but it was the following year that Josh took another huge step forward.

2022 was the year things really started to change for Jomo.

Josh launched Jomo Disc Golf on YouTube, creating something that was still relatively unique in the Australian disc golf scene. Rather than simply showcasing the highlights, Josh began documenting his own journey — the tournaments, the improvements, the challenges and everything that comes with trying to become a better disc golfer.

🍍QLD Open 2026🍍
First off, what a weekend! The whole event came together so well thanks to the hard work of @nathant_aus and the team at @queenslandopen 👏
It was a tough weekend of competition and despite not having the best results we had hoped for, there were elements of our game that we were happy with. All in all it was a privilege to be playing beside all the top females in Australia in the largest FPO field in Aus history!!

Big up and congratulations to @dpfrisbee and @cassie_sweetten for taking out the titles! 🏆
Shoutout to @rochellelouisephotography for the great photos, @amyogilvy for caddying round 1, and @sarie.katie and @brissie_wade for letting me borrow a cart to make the long course less draining!

Also, can confirm the @discgolfwarehouseaustralia Flight Path Polo does a great job at slimming down any protruding stomachs for photos 👌
