After seeing @jstor_org and @acls1919 #talkabouthumanities there is no better week to post about being a reader in the medical humanities 🥰

I took creative inspiration from @eabsreads who absolutely delivered on GLAM girls, but because there’s no apter metaphor for a girl completing her thesis in infectious disease, this corner of the internet was always going to be filled with bloody sputum and mucus 🤧😷

We need the humanities more than ever, so here’s a list of books that I’ve read, loved and feel are vitally important 🌏💘📚

Three months into living with @drarianagrindr and @jon_a_g and it feels like the best decision I’ve ever made???
The world is unstable and unsettling, but we’ve made a really strong commitment to community inside the walls of Kenmore Fantasy. So many people helped us get this place in running order. Thank you to our beautiful crew. Special thanks to @the.prince_joshua for being a wonderful allergen-free pet and to @juantonamera for getting on a plane to make our housewarming. I can’t tell you where I’d be without friends like these.

We are here and our doors are open if you need a space to chill, have coffee, and take some respite. Reach out to me anytime, pals. The most valuable resource we have is each other.

Our March ‘26 roundup includes an exhilarating debut novel set on the Oregon coast, an illuminating essay collection written by a former medical interpreter, an inquisitive poetry collection that interrogates heritage and privilege, & much more.

Unpacking my haul from the @tucsonfestivalofbooks and still basking in the glow of an event that treats both writers and readers like rockstars. Was wonderful to meet so many folks I admire and add so many new books to my reading list. The ride home through the Salt River Canyon was also spectacular.

I had so much fun this weekend at the @tucsonfestivalofbooks! This is a massive, incredible book festival hosted by @uarizona and I was so glad to be a part of it. 🏜️🌵☀️📚📚📚

Lots of highlights over the past few days: from having conversations with @jon_a_g and @melodiajean and @berdik_writes, to browsing allllllll the books and book-related paraphernalia, to attending sessions with some other amazing authors, to taking in the very real joy of all these people who also love reading and books and ideas. Truly inspiring to participate in this energy out in Arizona.

Here are some photos from the weekend. Thanks for having me, TFoB! Your (many, many) volunteers were all wonderful and made this event such a success.

Bought or acquired a truly maniacal, irresponsible amount of books & printed matter in Baltimore this AWP. Not quite an even hundred, depending on how you count. I said I'd take it easy, stick to a reasonable-ish budget; emphatically, I did not. My back hurts, my wallet is light, my head is woozy & empty, I am ready to be filled back up.
