Our annual trip brought us to Xi’an in October 2025 — and fun fact, I was genuinely confused between Xi’an and Chang’an, thinking they were two different cities… turns out Chang’an is the ancient name of Xi’an 🤯

As one of China’s oldest cities, Xi’an offers a completely different side of China — rich history, ancient city walls, deep culture, and stories that go far beyond the modern skyline. That contrast made the trip even more fun, interesting, and memorable.

Great food, endless laughs, and quality time — as always, it’s the people that make the journey special. Another annual trip done, another set of memories added.

Four of us came together for HYROX Singapore, November 2025 — not because we were the perfect athletes, but because we wanted to achieve something together!

One had a leg implant surgery a few years back.
Another was a gym-only guy with almost zero running experience.Another had no interest in joining HYROX at all.
And me? I rarely train legs — yet I was tasked with burpees and lunges 😮‍💨

Every station hurt. Every transition tested us. But together, we pushed through and finished with a decent timing — something none of us would have imagined doing alone.

Huge shout-out to @imkevinchong 🙌
The one who introduced HYROX to me from day one.
The one who kept pushing, nudging, and believing — even when I doubted myself.
He pushed me to do more than I ever thought I could, and honestly, I wouldn’t be here without that push.

This wasn’t just a race.
It was a test of determination, friendship, grit, and endurance.

So proud of this team.
We showed up, we suffered, and we made it — together.

💪🔥

Started my master degree 3 months ago, working concurrently, also told my PT I wanted to do cutting, signed up Hyrox with friends. WHAT I WAS THINKING!?!. But I never regret any of that choices. Thanks for pushing and encouraging me, couldn’t accomplish it without my great people 🫶.

My First HYROX 💥🔥

Huge shoutout to my friend @imkevinchong for roping me into my first ever HYROX — and what an adrenaline-fueled, unforgettable experience it was! We crushed it as a 4-men relay team with two other awesome friends @hdhldhl7d @hohoallenc , and I took on the sled pull and farmer’s carry (not too shabby if I may say so 😉).

Massive thanks to @edcwh and our friends @aaronle1612 @jon_bin @mingren.lim @leonliangpei @khwoo87 @christps @bernardo.hcm @justinng156 who came down to support — from making banners, bringing food and drinks, to cheering us all the way to the finish line 💪🙌 You made it so much more special!

And of course, special thanks to our amazing photographer @leonliangpei for capturing all the action and memories so perfectly 📸🙏

Already looking forward to the next one — more to improve, more to train for, and definitely gunning for a better timing next round! 🏁🔥

I had a fabulous 2024 - ended 2023 in BKK and Hua Hin. Travelled with my family to GUI Zhou ! I also went HK twice - once for Annie’s birthday and second time was our year end trip. I also went to Seoul, Shanghai and Beijing. It was my first time travelling with @jon_bin and @imkevinchong and we had great time together ! In 2024, I also travelled with my childhood buddy @alessandrawong to Beijing for the first time !

In 2024, I also decided to sell my old car and purchased a new car as a reward to myself. Besides, my KL condo obtained TOP this year. I also setup my own company this year. There are just way too many things going on at the same time. It was a challenging and yet a rewarding year ! I end the year with our travel to Dalat/HCM and HK which was an awesome trip ! Hope 2025 will be a more productive year for all of us ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️

It’s particularly meaningful to explore such a historical place with my childhood friend - @alessandrawong. She is someone I knew since I was in Primary One. Our names are very familiar, her Chinese name is “Hung Thong” while my Chinese name is “Hung Tiong”. So, our school teachers and friends do get our name mixed up sometimes. It’s amazing how we remain connected until today and Beijing is our first overseas trip together after so long ! It’s even more meaningful to make it to the Great Wall of China together ! Absolutely love this place - scenic, historical with breathtaking view although the construction of the Great Wall has many sad stories surrounding it. We had real good time together with @edcwh @jon_bin @imkevinchong !

First time visiting this historical site in Beijing - The Forbidden City or in Chinese, it’s called 紫禁城 or 故宫。 it’s even more meaningful when it’s an outing which we @edcwh had together with my niece @zqtan05 and my buddies @jon_bin @ @imkevinchong. Simply majestic and breathtaking ! I love Beijing !!!! 😍😍😍😍 #beijing #forbiddencity #travel #travelchina #ilovechina 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳
