This album “DAUGHTERS” was not a small undertaking.

We started working on the concept 2 years ago and recorded all of the band instrumentation in the spring of 2023 in a converted garage studio with @jon_nackk and @justusthemystic. A couple of months later we finished the vocals and auxiliary instruments (sitar @lohnjoni, sax @izzyandthefins, strings @vivalabelardes, and flutes @thejazzjesus) in the Bakersfield College studio thanks to @joshottumsounds.

After months of @theflwrboy developing the production, we had @felixdbyrne join the team as the mix/master engineer and he really brought a special touch to the project.

We then started our year long album roll out with more help from our friends. We had a headstone made by @keatonpunch and then we went back in time and dug a grave, captured by @motvdjake and @jon_nackk with styling from @vogueish_boutique. Then we went to the future and visited the cemetery with @per.pen.dicular also styled by the @vogueish_boutique girls.

Here we are now. The album is out via @specificnorthwest.records and our next step is to talk about it and play these songs that we put so much time and energy into. This album “DAUGHTERS” is an anagram of our name “HATE DRUGS”. It’s our self titled release (in our own special way). We wouldn’t have been able to do this without the support of our friends. Thank you for being a part of this release.

Now you can be a part of the story by helping us get the word out about the album and the shows that we will be announcing. Hope to see you soon 🖤
