- ny’s thoughts two: back at home, in coventry -

my creative mind continues to speak as i journal. honestly, it’s like a can of worms… non stop 😅

i received a lot of love from the first spoken word visual. it really spoke to you and gave some of you comfort, so i thought i’d continue sharing more of my personal experiences.

this time - understanding “home” and my battle with imposter syndrome.

music is healing, but journalling has been an open door. a space where i can actually sit with my thoughts, process them and be honest with myself.

i hope you’re having a lovely October, wherever you are 🤍

A few months ago, I got contacted by this artist @miriam__uk who was looking to put some horns on some of their songs. Little did I know that those parts would end up on her debut EP! 😳🔥

I want to say a big congrats and thank you to @miriam__uk for letting me and @jon_pudge write and play on her amazing songs. My particular favourite is the horn part on “Wondering” which I had the pleasure of composing and fleshing out ☺️. Here are some behind the scenes of the recordings we did at a home studio in Birmingham! It was lovely meeting so many wonderful people and to be a part of their stories! 🧡

Check out @miriam__uk latest EP “Pull the curtain” wherever you get your music! 🔥

Riddim Jam 1 🥹

A magical, inter-generational celebration of the Jamaican music legacy in Cov. There was a buzz in the air that’s still lingering with us today. It felt like we all NEEDED this!

Big love to @thetinmusicandarts, our house band, artists, selectors, jammers… everyone involved in making our launch night the unforgettable evening it was.

All thanks and praise to The Most High for bringing this vessel to life ❤️💛💚

More highlights to follow 🍃✨🍃✨🍃

The album that reshaped how I see, feel, hear, and imagine arrives next Friday, May 1st 2026.

Growing up in a city as layered as my hometown of Coventry has shaped so much of what I carry, the things I’ve uncovered over time, the truths I’ve questioned and the meanings people often miss.

This record sits in that space between curiosity and conviction, between who we are and who we might become, because in the end, each of us is searching for a purpose, and 'Home At Cofa’s’ is a reflection of that search and a reminder that life laid out for us isn’t the only thing we’re meant to live. There are questions woven throughout the record and things I’m still learning to understand.

Making this body of work in my studio has meant everything to me, to say the least. It’s something I really needed to do. Songwriting and making music are everything to me, they’re what I’m best at and the truest way I express myself. Sharing parts of it with some of my heroes makes it even more special.

Tarragon is family. It’s community. It’s not just a herb added to something else; it’s something living, shifting, expanding and it arrives in multiple forms. Why Tarragon? Because, like most things, it carries symbols. Tarragon represents devotion, interest, and environment. I wanted this project to convey where things began for me, growing up with autism, and what that experience was like. After all, nothing is ever just one thing.

Listen well and you take care, now.
