And that’s a wrap! Went to the ER yesterday to deal with my fractured hand from 10 days ago, and it turns out when I had my seizures (?) on Friday night, I landed on the same hand causing more breaks and twisting one of my bones! 🦴 💔 I’m in a great deal of pain, and will be seeing a specialist on Weds to probably get pins inserted, and to discuss surgery after the bones have set. Looks like #longcovid and #autism strikes again and my future with playing guitar and piano may be in jeopardy. Send healing thoughts. 💚🙏🏽 #brokenhand #thissucks #painfull #pinsandneedles #whatsnext

It’s my 44th birthday today and I’m a week away from “celebrating” 3 years of chronic illness with Long Covid. I’m heavy with emotions as I’m shocked by the outpouring of support and love on social media these past few days. Thank you. 💚💚💚💚💚 Both my adoring wife and I have now celebrated birthdays this past week and we would be eternally grateful if instead of the drinks you’d buy us, you’d instead donate to our fundraiser for debt relief and assistance in our medical costs... (I plan on updating the site soon) I’m not one to normally ask for help, let alone on my own birthday - but here I am asking for some. I haven’t worked in 3 years, and it appears I do not qualify for disability and as such, this adds further stress to an already see-sawing issue that doesn’t seem to end for me and many others. Please consider and thank you all for the love and kindness. 🙏 💚 Link in Bio. #longcovid #fundraiser #gofundme #medicalcosts #debtrelief #help #chronicillness #ihateaskingforhelp

You know what? Reali life is a funny thing....sometimes we get caught up in the moments - both good and bad - and we forget to share these moments on social media. I am definitely guilty of this, as I’ve yet to wish my better half and life-partner - @mandersinvan - a lovely happy birthday on the social medias. This woman is hands-down, one of the most amazing people you can have in your life. If you don’t already know her, you should. 😝💗 Happiest of (belated) Birthdays to my true love. ❤️❤️❤️ 🎂 🥂 #birthdaywife #belatedbirthday #wedidcelebratetho #socialmediadelay #reallifeisbeautiful #justlikemywife #happybirthday

This is my dad. Today would have been his 68th birthday, if my math is correct. 🙌 Sadly I have not seen my father since I was about 9 years old. He then disappeared a few years later, and quite literally became a national missing person in Canada - of which he still is, to this day. 😞 I don’t think I ever got over the first loss at the age of 9, nevermind coming to terms with his disappearance when I was 11/12. I still struggle with these demons often and in fact, I typically stay quiet about my father for this very reason. 🤫 My few memories I do have of him are filled with such great joy and fondness. He was a father who truly loved his son with the gifts of music, offbeat humour and a keen outlook on life - and there are many times when I wish he was here today to help me, guide me and comfort me the way a father should, when his son needs it most. 💜 It doesn’t matter how old you are, to admit you miss your dad. What matters is admitting it. 🥺 And I miss you dad. A lot. 😢 Happy Birthday. 🎂 🍻 #birthday #dad #missingyou #missingperson #sadstory #themoreyouknow #dowelookalike

Sappy Saturday’s remembers just a week ago today when I made the front page of @thevancouversun The article was titled “In It For The Long Haul” and was about my journey with #longcovid @longcovidcanada and the potential closing of the Abbotsford Post-COVID Clinic. A mere 5 days after this article, I found out the clinic was saved and had received funding. 👏👏🥂💜 Advocacy+Activism=Change #longcovid #activism #advocacy #change #postcovidclinic #abbotsford #vancouver #bcpoli #cdnpoli #longcovidcanada

On Friday, Fleck Projector’s debut single “Phoenix” was released to rave reviews. This makes me incredibly happy and honoured to have worked with the musicians involved, as a co-producer and mixing engineer. As many of you know, I’ve basically been retired from studio life for nearly a decade but have decided now is the time to come back and at full throttle. 🚀 I mean who couldn’t resist the chance to mix @kelliiscott And his amazing drums?? Stay tuned for many updates and more new music from @fleckprojector 🙏💜 #indierock #bandsofvancouver #alternative #the90s #fleckprojector #phoenix #debutsingle #ravereviews #humbled #altrock #thebestisyettocome
