I rang in 2025 alone in my apartment. dreaming of a life I didn’t think was possible for myself. dreaming of being surrounded by friends. dreaming of being somewhere that felt like home. I didn’t know any of it was possible. I just knew I wanted it. I didn’t even know what it looked like, but I silently longed for it as I counted down to midnight by myself - wishing things were different.

now here I am. ringing in 2026 surrounded by friends. surrounded by love. surrounded by peace. somewhere i’d never been, but somewhere that felt like home. because of the people there. it’s even better than what I could barely imagine for myself last year.
