My life’s flipped this past year. It was a time of letting things go and being obedient to the Lord. January was the hardest time of my life. Spiritual, emotionally, and mentally I was drained. I reached my breaking point and didn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel. I then went to a church conference where the Lord met me. I fell to my knees and He spoke to me. He told me he would redeem my family and I. He said to trust Him and wait on his timing. So I clinged onto his word and began to try and walk in obedience as best as possible. Man did I fail week in and week out. Something just began to change though. I was led to my first missions trip to Uganda where I had to depend on the lord in so many ways. Again He spoke to me through 2 people. He said obedience will change the outcome of my generation and my testimony will heal others even though I’m still wounded myself. Then my family began to start being redeemed and coming back to Christ. Things started falling into place. I started an internship at my church in September and been able to learn the ins/outs of a church. The Lord has continued to put people in my life that have supported me more than ever. From late night talks, to prayer request, to being prayed over by the young adults and elders at my church, and man the love that I felt in those moments. I owe everything from where I’m at right now to God. I had to surrender what I didn’t want to but I knew God couldn’t take me where I needed to go unless I did. He gave me a community that has truly been like a family to me and some older wise guys to truly walk with me and be there for me. My community is everything and without them I’m nowhere near the person I am. All I can say is thank you Jesus for chasing me down and loving me so unconditionally that it only made sense to follow you.

This year I want to run for the gospel. I wanna get to heaven exhausted not well rested. I will spend and be spent for the purpose of peoples souls only because of the work of Christ through me. Next plans are finish MCC, Latvia for a mission, and Bible school at PLNU in Cali. Jesus you saved my life, you ran for me now it’s time I run for you. Jesus Loves You.

God is in control. Thank you Lord. This mission was more than an eye opening l it was a supernatural experience divined by God. There so many things I could talk about from the hospitality from the Ugandans, to talking with refugees, from the stories, the laughs, the chaos of travel, the highs the lows but there’s 1 story that I really wanna highlight and I pray that you are encouraged from how Jesus met me. This was an outreach mission where we were called to spread the gospel throughout Kampala Uganda. It was very challenging but a blessing. On our 2nd day of evangelizing half way through I just felt a burden on my shoulders, what we were doing felt heavy it was uncomfortable and I didn’t feel like I was doing a great job. We had lunch then went back out for the 2nd half of the day. I was blessed to be with Aimee one of the UCF leaders and we were able to pray over so many people in a very hard part of the town where people just wanted hope. We were able to pray over many children and have incredible conversations but I still felt that burden. On the way back Aimee told me “that was really natural for you and I see that pastor in you” I then explained to her this burden and she started to tell l me the story of how Moses led the Israelites being led out of slavery, as she was talking it went silent and it was my voice and her voice. She told me in that moment the Israelites and Moses probably felt uncomfortable and almost like a burden. She then said however it took 1 man’s obedience to change the outcome of a generation. It took moses to be obedient and raise his staff to split the Red Sea And that hit me. Then later on I’m sharing my testimony with another Ugandan named Doug, again it went quite just my voice and his, after I shared my testimony he told me “Dylan you are a wounded healer, you have the anointing of David” he said my scars are evidence of healing and my story is what’s gonna help heal people and lead them to Christ.
