1. At this point in the show I’m usually on the edge of my seat listening to possibly the greatest guitar solo ever; it flows and grows and then Steve does this string bending action to shift the note, and it melts me every time. So I promised myself I would try, just this once, to capture the moment.
2. Steve really goes to town at the end of this classic side long song from #Foxtrot. It is the culmination of the main set, a high point more than 54 years old, and one that sends the audience into rapture. Astonishing song writing, brilliant band performance, astonishing guitar playing.
3. The rock that is @jonasreingold A privilege to sit close and watch his bass playing, so fluid, with such power. The bass pedals on #Hierophant shake your insides (in a good way). Awesome

I’ve had the best times watching @stevehackettofficial and his band again this year, one more to go. And it’s a biggie.

It’s strange, my posts on progressive music gigs get very little traction on this platform. I’m going to continue to post as this has become a bit of a musical diary. Birdvox up next.

Couple of shots from Wednesday night with @stevehackettofficial at @theglasshouseicm When the #SecondsOut lights come on the whole room seems to vibrate with a collective recognition. This was a completely fabulous gig, with Steve, Jonas, Nad, Rob, Lalle and Felix (happy birthday!) putting on an amazing show of Steve Hackett solo gems and a second set of the best of Genesis. And boy did the gems shine, and they truly picked the very best of Genesis. So grateful to Steve and Jo for continuing to play this music live, literally the soundtrack of so many lives. Thank you all.

@stevehackettofficial and the band. True talent. Keys playing. Bass thumping. Sax swinging. Each plays a unique part to recreate the amazing sound of the Genesis and solo work of a master musician. Long may it continue.
