People! Swing by The Cotton Wool to take in some great new work from super talented and down-to-earth Walla Walla artisans this evening in downtown Walla Walla! This Zac Merten Design piece pictured is entitled “Articulation” The show is our annual “Shape Shifts” show with an opening reception tonight of new work Thursday, Oct 17, 4-7 PM “Working from the premise that technical knowledge allows for freedom to expand and move away from the expected, “Shape Shifts”, a new group show at the Cotton Wool, plays with structure in craft. Basketmaking, dyers, collage, weaving, woodworking - every handcraft has basic tenets of form, material, construction, etc. Featuring local artists and makers who have spent countless hours learning and honing these principles, “Shape Shifts” explores what can be when inherent elements of craft are removed or changed”. -Kim Nemeth Show runs Oct 17 - November 17, 2024 #thecottonwoolww #wallawalla #wallawallalife #visitwallawalla #sculpture
